I like Glenn Beck for 1 reason and 1 reason only....he makes for the best fodder in political comedy history.

He's a shill at best, selling his paranoid and uninformed audience gold at insane prices, nothing more than today's version of Morton Downey Jr.

The separation between church and State will not fail since many of us see all religion as a con-job

However we do have people who live by religious laws and they are not all Muslim.

The latter-day saints come to mind. Mennonites http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mennonite come to mind too.
I went to HS with a girl who was shunned in her community. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shunning

We actually do this behaviour in this forum. So it doesn't take Sharia law just the imperfect human.

Here is a reference to what I know we USA-ers will not stand for that relates. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honor_killing

Google honor killings for links to dozens of reported instances across the USA.
I do question a father that can kill his daughter because she was raped.

I do not have that "right" do you? do you realize they won't let a lot of people have fire arms?
Whether I have that right or not, I still have them, as do many others. There will not be any religious movements in this country.

Apparently you don't know much about Mormons if you think we live by "religious laws." We live by certain moral standards not laws. It's up to the individual to follow these moral standards or not. We follow the laws of the land depending on what country we live in.

Yeah their weird for sure, I'm not claiming to be an expert but I know a little bit about them and lived with a chick who was brought up that way so I know their weird. when the people vote for sharia things will change.

If you're so dead set on having Sharia Law then maybe you should move to Pakistan or Afghanistan. Would that make you happy?

Well I don't know enough to debate details. I was attempting to establish a local context.

As for knowing? I was the one who dunked my wife in the baptism waters at her Mormon church.

Not that, that makes me anything. Again it was just an effort to create a plane of reference.

Ernst, only a priesthood holder can perform a baptism. You're talking to a generational Mormon here. You cannot perform a baptism unless you are a member in good standing and are an elder in the church. Which by your description and lack of knowledge states otherwise.

I was the one who dunked my wife. I didn't perform the service.

Once again, you have to be a member and a priesthood holder AND you have to perform the service. I don't know why you are lying about this but that is the standard in the church and NO branch or ward deviates from it. And another thing, why in the world do you constantly talk about subjects you know nothing about and make wild claims that aren't true? Almost every thread you're in someone calls you on it. Why, Ernst? It makes absolutely no sense.

There are two people in the water during the baptism. The one being baptized and the one performing the service.

I know real Mormons don't call themselves Mormons and don't call their church the Mormon church.

you do not have that right for good reasons, i would wager based on your inane musings you post around here.

being an admitted thief probably does not help your case.

there are certain people i do not want to have the right to own a gun.

I am allowed to have muskets and cannon , black powder revolvers and air rifles and can pilot an ultralight without a drivers licence or an FID card.

No, real Mormons call each other LDS or members except when talking to Gentiles and then we use the term Mormon so people know what the hell we're talking about.

"congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion..."

this thread is complete fail on the part of beardo, and a clear indictment on his knowledge of the first amendment.

but it is amusing as hell.

Let try and set you at ease before you start screaming Fuck You Ernst.

My then wife had progressive spinal muscular atrophy. I loved her and we fell in love on the old fashioned BBS's before there was public Internet.
Since I am a man who sees inner beauty and trust as more important than the other I married a woman who was in a wheel chair and who needed 24/7 care so i was the only person she trusted to hold her fragile body and I also assume since I got in the water it was a sneaky baptism of me so i could sit next to her in Mormon Heaven.

Now do you need more to default to trusting me? I've see the 60 minutes on Mormon church and homosexuality as well so you can share and I'll get it.

There is no need to get Dan excited..
