sounds like a similar problem but these plants pretty much went BALD! barely even got to see the hairs and away they went. but im glad they are reviving and showing good progress. definetely not where they should be for week 3 but this will do for now as long as they continue theyre current path. i worked on keeping my temps stable and havent gotten anything over 78 and nothing under 65F lately and thats pretty much a few inches under the light. glad to hear the poly is easy to work with, should save me a bit of money. i saw the velcro before in a grow video and always like the idea, if i cant get the zipper i may turn to that. Come on mannn velcro aint soo bad!Sometimes my plants will show dieing hairs 3 weeks in but they soon get overrun with fresh ones, but it never got to a point I was worried about it... My humidity is super low, so I dont know what could be causing your mid cycle crisis haha
The poly is easy to work with and is thicker than those thick contractor bags so it takes allot to rip it. You could drape it over then cut a slice down the middle and glue on some velcro to make a door... I would be hesitant to do this because I cant stand the sound of velcro aaaaaaaa! Its worse than nails on a chalk board.
thanks man. ive got a lumatek and i really enjoy it. havent used any other HPS so i cant say anything on the lines of comparing. the lumatek stays cool and is dimmable which would work good if i wanted to veg under 400w and then switch to 600w for flower or something. some other guy posted in the 600 club talking shit on it saying that it caused his bulb to have a short and melted his plug but i dont feel that was caused by the ballast, more of a user error.

ill make sure to follow the directions in the pic if i go that route. does seem a lot easier to put it on before hanging it. always easier to cut something being flat versus it being hanging. i wouldnt get too interested in LED as they are not worth the price and dont do a whole lot better than CFLs IMO. work good for veg but CFLs also do well. those bars are the shit!! real tasty and get you pretty high if good budder is used. make sure to let me know how you like them!

haha looks like that budder was a bit of a mess for you there Whodat! does look nice and dark green and seems to be a good amount. i feel that i loose about half the butter i put in to evaporating and being in the plant material though i strain it to get the most out. that fudge looks delicous and could be some christmas time gift haha! glad to hear your going to try the bars, i think you will enjoy them especially once you get your chocolate overdose from the fudge. might have to try some vanilla ice cream with those bars when they are warm. make sure you wait for about an hour before cutting them or they will basically fall apart from the heat of the jelly.Heres the butter I said I would show... day 21 today but basically stuck in week two. i feel that the growth ive seen doesnt exceed week two since the shriveling of hairs but theyre actual time frame of 12/12 is 21 days.
why would i want to buy a LED that has the same watt usage as a HPS for like 3 times the amount of money? the point of LED is to use less power for equal growth which isnt the case that i experienced. thats like saying buy 600 watts of CFL and youll be sitting next to a 600hps in performance and yield. i bought those LEDs before any research was done on others growing and most people hadnt even purchased LEDs by that time. the LEDs i bought were written about in high times and were highly recommened but that turned out to be shit. plus the 600w LEDS came out at different times then when i first purchased mine. dont come into my thread bashing what i have going and saying this is what happens when you go in half hearted. thats a ignorant comment in my opinion and i dont have any patience for this kind of shit anymore. just leave the thread with that kind of talk, no room for it here buddy!
Don't get your knickers in a knot now, and the point of LED is not to use less power alone but the heat issues, the better light spectrum, the lifespan and as a grower of both big LED and HPS I can assure you you will be counting the cost down the line with the HPS.
