Because he is bullshitting about how much it costs. I run:

1,000W MH on 18/6
4 cfls on 18/6
1,400W HPS on 12/12
8" centrifugal fan 24/7.
6" centrifugal fan 24/7
clone bucket, dehumidifier, and 6 house fans on 24/7

All that plus me and a roommate living there and my bills are under $300. I am also getting billed a higher tier for a portion of my electricity. I don't think it's a secondary tier though, just peak usage cost.

You need to do an energy audit of your house. You may be leaking electricity somewhere if your bills are that high. There is no way they should even be close to what you claim they are. It just doesn't add up.

It was directed toward deprave. Your set up sounds similar to mine with similar prices. $250/mo is much more reasonable than 4 or 5 digit bills.

what i wanna know is
is it a full time job as a caregiver(im guessing they grow and in turn sell to the dispenseries)or stright to the patients dosn't really matter for this
so if its a full time job it means they need to make enough to sustain them there house the company the whole works

where as the ppl who give it out for free probly grow at home and have jobs the the overhead as in the house and everything is not included

if this is the case well makes sense it cost that much
and why not just grow yourself for a fraction of the cost thats why i grow it i have spent 350 on lights and shit the bill i havn't got yet only every 2 months for me
but if i get 2 ounces it just payed for itself and the seeds

It does, and i'm expecting my cost to maybe jump up to $500/mo for elec when I have to crank the AC too. But for that price i'll be supplying myself with quality herb, and my 2 patients at about $100/oz. That alone will nearly cover my electrical expenses. Then I will still have several ounces every month of decent quality herb to get rid of and recoup that electrical bill several times over. Plus all the hash and green dragon I get from clippings and popcorn bud.

ya everyone situation is different like I said but yea my patients still get it for under 100$ sometimes cause I give it to them at cost like I said, good idea on the audit but I got like a month and I am out of here. It will be nice to have a low bill again.

but yeah this thread is not about me complaining or having a hard time or something as I do just fine tyvm, it is about people who come on here and insult people because they don't give out free ounces or they charge to much - it is the theme of many threads in these forums. I just wanted to point out that everyone has a different situation and I did exaggerate a bit to get my point across. You really do not know how much it costs someone to grow - there is a lot more variables than just the power bill.

Do you think people believe you get double the yield a professional would in that little rinky dink tent and that you set a world record for gpw on one of your first grows? Do you think anyone really with a shred of experience believes those 2-2.5 ounce plants are 4+? How about you contribute something to these forums besides flaming people and bragging for once - and then you flame people on here for not giving away free ounces when u sell even your leafs for 1500$ a month and your bud at outrageous street prices, really?

Entertaining flame war. I forget who suggested it but if a grower/caregiver gives marijuana to a patient and the patient transfers it to another person with or without payment I don't see where it becomes illegal for the grower.

This section of the law:
R 333.125 Revocation; nullification.
Rule 25. (1) A registered qualifying patient or registered primary
caregiver who has been convicted of selling marihuana to someone who is not
allowed to use marihuana for medical purposes under the act, shall have his
or her registry identification card revoked and may be found guilty of a
felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 2 years or a fine of not
more than $2,000.00, or both, in addition to any other penalties for the
distribution of marihuana.

also seems to me to allow sales between any patient or caregiver to anyone else who has a valid MMJ certification. It seems to me that a sale to a non-patient is required to lose patient/caregiver status, doesn't it follow that being paid for growing marijuana and selling it to a qualified patient that is not your own is legal?

I think thats what the op was implying when he said this in his original post:
"Personally I give my patients their meds at the same cost it is to me, they get rid of about half of it and make their money back".

And I'm positive if you read some of his other posts, you will see what a stickler he is about following the law and is very much against street dealings. So I'm sure there is no way he would keep a patient that he knew was illegally transferring meds.

I don't know why I took the time to read this thread and get side tracked by your blathering but I do have something to say.

You made some initial claims, and then there were estimates made on those claims. You claimed X number of ounces per month, and then someone looked at photo's, saw you had maybe two 1000 watters and deduced your grams/watt as around 7. Then I believe the 4.5 number they are referring to is a statistical "Guiness Record" type grow where a grower achieved that particular number. The conversation was indicating that you yourself had possibly achieved a number greater than this.

So, Let us clarify then, Mr Buddy Ganga.

What is your setup, how many lights you running, how many total watts, and how many ounces. You yourself, not a fictitious grow you might do in the future or heard about, but you yourself, why don't you clarify the facts. Because now I'm interested, I can't believe I read through this whole thread.
