I don't know what happened in that thread, all I'm saying is to those that have the attitude that this thread was started with the intent of just asking a simple genetics question, NO it wasn't, not if words still have meaning. The subject line of the thread makes it VERY clear to me, at least, that the author doesn't have a general inquiry. It is an attempt to shed light on what the poster feels is an injustice or a wrong. In the first post, he goes on to make an accussation that Sub deleted the thread....

I hardly see any question being asked. This is a public attempt to call out a contributor, plain and simple, and the tone of it will probably cause it to get locked. Hardly a simple question of genetics, as some of your are parsing this.

Sub did delete the thread or got it deleted and did not answer the questions in the thread

I would love to know what exactly the genetics are.......but I trust Subcool's word, too. If you don't like it, don't buy it, dude. Obviously you have some interest in his gear, otherwise you would not be trying to figure this out.

Subcool has been doing this a long time, and has been a help to a lot of people on RIU. And just like a great cook, we do not always share the measurements of all the ingredients, just the finished product.....haha

I would be willing to bet that Subcool would not put "Kush" into the name just because it is cool. I doubt he would announce his first offering from the Kush family, and not have some lineage there.

But yet he said because it smells like kush.

I mean, its his strain dude. and like Haz said, if you don't like it.. then just don't buy it. But don't go out and make a big deal out of something so minor. It's his strain.. and he knows what genetics are in it. I don't see him saying that, if it didn't have the kush genetics in it... period.

This morning there was a thread that was titled 'Plush Berry'. The OP asked why Sub responded the way he did. When Subcool responded he just blew off the OP. Sub said he could take the heat. Then when more people questioned him, The thread "magically" disappears.

I don't think anyone knows the lineage of the BCS cut other then whoever originally grew it from seed. Maybe it's known where that person is and maybe not, than add the fact that it was crossed with another strain that has a mixed lineage some of which is unknown, and you can't really say what it is. All you can say is that it is similar to kush or probably indica dominant or whatever. What is Kush these days anyways? Indica from the Kush Valley or OG Kush which is a sativa dominant hybrid? Tough to say what its Kush actually means.

Can't really disagree AT ALL with that statement.
To be fair any breeder looking to sell his beans really does need to respond a little better to questioning over genetics. Ok he may not wish to disclose the full gens, but he should state that and not make a remark such as 'cause I can smell it'....... Or his remarks will screw his rep, closely followed by his ability to sell his beans.

its not just any type of pungent its that kush pungent. you will always know your smoking kush. by the look, smell, and taste.

Well i know i was the one asking sub the questions and he replied with ive been doing this for 4 decades and its kush because of smell..No WAY SHAPE SIZE FORM DID HE SAY IT HAS KUSH IN IT FROM ANY KUSH HYBRIDS OR SOMETHING WITH A LITTLE KUSH IN IT..
