PS3 vs XBOX cast your thoughts

Well I am a PS3 fan. PS3 beats xbox in many ways. One you do not have to pay to play on-line, one thing I just think is stupid, you buy the game and pay for your Internet, why should you have to pay again to play against others. Next I know many people who have xbox and they seem to break down lots, something that PS3's can do but do not seem to do as often, and if they do you can mail it into Sony and they will fix it for free, a nice option that I think xbox only offers this if you have filled out the warranty card when you purchased it. And for the sports fans PS3 offers NHL and MLB apps, and if you purchased a membership you can watch pretty much all games in HD, xbox dose not have this. PS3's have Blue-ray, enough said. For me the PS3 controller tops the xbox but thats can go either way with people. Not to sure about game comparison, most systems have the same games, beside a few made for specific systems, and I think the only one that stands out is Halo, which yes is only for xbox but just for one game I wouldn't be buying the system. Xbox does have one nice other feature, you can listen to your own music during any game, PS3 only allows this for certain games. So overall I think PS3 tops xbox in almost every way, what do you think?

ps3 does not have greater picture quality over xbox. the only advantage to blu ray over a hi def player is the storage capability on the disc. but yes i own both consoles, and ps3 is better

seems like everyone is comparing ps3 to the old 360. Not inciting a war, but the RROD hasn't been an issue for a while now.

dude tech is not the issue these days it all comes down to exclusives... gotta say now with the dc mmo i think they are kinda tied down but 2011 who knows with gears of war 3 and a new elder scrolls i think xbox will own ps3 and its gay little sackdoll lol hate that game + xbox live cannot be compared with psn hell all psn does is tries to immitate xbox live and dont worry about paying for the service youll be in same ship in a bit...

had a xbox 360...died the red ring of death...twice.

now have a ps3...love it.

I give the edge to ps3 both for durability and for blu-ray movies.
I play games...but I'm not hardcore enough to fret over
this exclusive or that if ps3 doesn't have it.

1- microsoft makes u pay for the internet because it helps them run the servers. that money helps pay people to keep the system not only up and running, but speedy too. ps3 doesnt have that, and that is why their internet service is WAY slower, and patches take hours to download LOL on xbox it literally takes 30 seconds max. i would rather pay a few bucks a month for these conveniences, than have to wait minutes to join an online COD game... which does happen every time ive played COD on ps3.

2- games on ps3 take a lot longer to load on the system. take gta4 for example... when u first turn it on, u know that slideshow of pictures they show while its loading? and theres music playing? well, on ps3 there are 2 pictures at the end that i have NEVER EVER seen on my xbox.

oh and also ive had my xbox since a few months after they came out, and it just red ringed 2 weeks ago. it lasted a LONG time

How is a disc based media that stores 50GB a dumb invention, let alone the dumbest?

I went through 3 xboxs in a couple months lol. I loved my xbox morethan anything but weed and money. Bought my first like 4 years ago it was a pro and lasted till the summer which is alright but a pain in the ass. Bought 2 different "used" xboxs. That both crapped out on me and red ringed within a couple months. That made me real mad so I bought the ps3.

I like the blu ray player.. but with the new ps3's you can't download shit or watch movies online which makes the internet pretty useless.. Also, the internet is slow as fuuuuck. I get lagged out of cod matches all the time fuck psn and their free bullshit.

Pretty dissapointed with ps3

Good thing I can come up with $4 per month for xLive or I might be in OPs shoes and a ps3 fanboy too.

How do you fit 50gb on a disc, and what's the point? Is there any way for movie quality to be increased to the point where a movie that took up 700mb on a DVD now takes up 70 times as much space on Blu-Ray?
