we didnt start world war I, but we won it. we didnt start world war II, but we won it. we wont start ww III, but i sure want to win it. this makes me worry. we are in no way capable of taking on china right now. and to have JESUS at the helm....hopefully the real jesus has mercy on our country.
Uhh... actually nobody really started WWI from a U.S. perspective. That war was started for geopolitical, cultural and economic reasons.
Also, I saw from your later posts that you served in the Air Force. Congratulations. I have family who served in the AF and if I ever were to serve that's definitely where I'd go, but how can someone who is clever enough to have served in the Air Force even hypothesize about a war between the United States and China?
Let me spell it out for you:
They have nukes.
We have nukes.
Countries with nukes DON'T go to war. EVER. It has NEVER happened. Because when countries with nukes go to war, that's a good way to get EVERYBODY killed.
It doesn't matter to the United States how fast or stealthy Chinese bombers are, because... you know what? We got nukes. Thousands of 'em.
It doesn't matter to China how many F16s America can cram onto an Aircraft Carrier. Because... you know what? China's got nukes. Hundreds of 'em.
It's called Mutually Assured Destruction. (great acronym: M.A.D) You apparently served in the military since the Cold War, so you should know this. Countries with nukes don't go to war. Or, if they can't stand one another, they fight proxy wars against one another like Korea and Vietnam. But they never directly and unambiguously declare war against a rival nuclear power. It simply isn't done.
Conventional warfare is for bullying smaller nations that DON'T have nukes. That's what China wants its stealth bombers for. They could give a shit less about us. They're content to continue beating our asses economically with their centrally planned economy and sit back and watch our pathetic and useless anarcho-capitalist response-- to continue borrowing more money from them.
You see-- THEY'VE actually got it figured out. Militaries are irrelevant once you've got nukes and a space program. After that, it's all about economic power. And that's why they're growing at 9% a year while we sit here, shaking in our boots about some 1980s-era stealth bomber they've developed when they can destroy the freaking world and have been able to for decades.
