dude that meat idea is quite discusting

i know all the nute comapanies use it but it would be made 100% safe 1st

my main concern for u would be all the little critters u could be exposing your bud too - harmful if injested i know some smoke imported from mexico had been fed with human compost - caused an outbreak of hep C in the mid 80's

so god knows what might get in from dead deer and cow carcuses - these animals have died possibly from disease and u wont know as u have to send them in the uk at least to a licenced hunting dog kennels where they autopsy unknown deaths in order to work out if safe to feed meat to their hounds

pretty gf / wife and gr8 bush (plant lol ) oh and is that ragwort i see in foreground - its posionous and we pull all ours on sight - horses tend to eat it and die


stay safe - surely its best to forget the meat and stick with green matter as compost

what we use to do with dead animals in uk was dig a large pit and fill it up then cover over and big new one now in uk every dead animal has to be disposed of by licenced incineration or a hunt kennals ( since foot and mouth outbreak in mid 90's)

Lol, my compost is quite safe for me to be working with. I've been making it for a few years now and have grown a couple things in it prior to this.

Everything gets broken down and recycled in the way I'm doing my composting and I even have state inspectors check on me occasionally.

I do hold a legitimate composting permit for the work I do and meet ALL safety regulations.

I gave the plants a badly needed flush this morning after realizing my PH was getting thrown to far off from the molasses and ferts.

Hopefully they'll perk back up and I'll see some improvement in not too long.

I'm going to discontinue using the molasses until the final weeks of flowering.

hope the flush helps the plants out, i never noticed a ph change with adding mollases though it might just be the nutes, and if you started using it already i would continue to use at least once a week untill u want to use it more

I'm assuming it's a combination of the 2. I noticed they haven't been growing as quickly and the leaves started to yellow out real quick.

I'm going to watch them real close for the next couple days to make sure they recover.

where are they yellowing at ? is it starting at the bottom and working its way up?
it could be a N. def. and that can cause slower growth and yellowing.

That's what I originally thought but when I gave them a feeding with nitrogen in the ferts they got worse.

Without a having a ph meter it's a bit more difficult to determine the exact reason but I'm pretty sure this is my problem.

I probably should buy one.

looks like a magnesium def. I think maybe your ph was off causing a lockout.

A magnesium deficient plant is identified by intervenial chlorosis, necrosis, and eventually a lockout of plant nutrients. The problems starts at the bottom of the plants and works it's way up. you got brown spots on your margins?

one thing to remember is that molasses has potassium, calcium and magnesium. when you add it to your nute schedule, you have to remember to account for it. i give at least a tablespoon per gallon every ten days when i am halfway through flower. the plant just loves those carbs and she always starts to crystal up real good.

you should water with an epsom salt treatment and your problem will clear right up. add 2 teaspoons per gallon water. the re-greening will start from top to bottom. easier to treat than a case of the crabs.

Just ordered a PH meter this morning and a bag of Dolomite lime since I don't have any and I think it would be good as a soil grower to keep some on hand.

The plants are doing much better now after a few good flushes and a light feeding of some nitrogen and epsom salt.

I think I finally corrected whatever problem I was having. I'm almost positive it was a PH issue.

The bagseed that finished up a while ago had a lot more color to it then these do at this time.

I should get my meter this week and then I won't have to play guessing games anymore.

You could pretty much say I got no meter. Just a water tester. The cheap dropper ones. I need to get me the a nice one soon though as well as a PPM meter.

that would be lowering your ph the hard way. after a few years you wont need a ph meter. you will know by looking at the plant. baby steps is how most people learn to walk. pic 3 is looking mighty nice.

Very true. The problem I have is the mass amounts of garbage in my tap water like chlorine. I can let it sit out for a couple days but even then I'm not assuring that its all removed. So I by R/O water by the gallon until I can get like a tank or something....

It's definitely going to take me a few grows to get it down right. I'm kinda kicking myself in the ass for letting them get as bad as they did since I'm on here everyday telling people how to fix the problem I just had myself.

This is what I have heard so investing the money into something that woks as well as a PPM meter. You were in a outdoor contest last summer right or maybe even held it? If so where might this link be? I might be mistaken with another user though.
