Wicked journal ledbudguy +rep for putting in the time to document it to help me make my decision about LED's. I just got my panels from the first production run of a new company and their parent company is the same one who made your panels.

I just picked up two 357 Magnum LED Grow Lights and set up my room and the plants are all vegged and going under them tonite.

Sealed room with co2 gonna run 12 plants under 700W of LED so should be a similar grow to yours except the plants are bigger and the panels I have are all 3W Led chipsets for better penetration with the big plants.

If you have any input on watering or nutes feel free to comment.

Can't wait for your weigh-in

i doubt the light difference would make a difference to taste.plus your freind may have done a few things different to you growing his plants.plus your own stuff will always be better, well because its yours.
anyway,i like what you did.

apparently LED grown stuff tastes better because it has different consistency and taste because of the lower temperatures involved the plant takes up alot less water and hence less nutrients. In some cases may not need flush before harvest

Ok so the kush is dry and cured, firstly the smoke is AAA+ with a very distinctive kush taste and a long lasting intense cerebral high.

I am 110% convinced that growing the same strain under LED's as opposed to HID produces a much higher quality of bud. A friend of mine grew the exact same plants (same mother) under 1000W HID and the bud he grew isn't really even close. I know this seems hard to believe as most of us are tried and true HID growers but I saw it first hand. The HID bud was airy in comparison to the dense LED bud. I am pretty sure that he had some heat issues as I have grown this same strain under HID and had the same problem with heat and airy bud. I am having my pal take some pics of the HID bud for comparison so you can all see it for yourselves...

The LED bud is very dense and coated in sugar. From the 24 plants that I grew the total dry cured weight was a very impressive 27oz / 6g. That is damn near 1g per watt and damn impressive.

If you want my opinion, LEDs are great for my purpose. I believe that the medicinal quality of the bud I just grew is far superior to what I have grown in the past with HID. This is most probably due to the non heat issue and lack of wasted light. I am a believer in this technology and highly reccommend growing medicinal marijuana using LEDs.

Here are some pics of the final product, enjoy (I sure did ;))

Dunit - You fucking nailed the estimate....

And I was looking forward to having my nutsac shaved with your teeth... Always a bridesmaid never a bride! All kidding aside, I'm sure I could pull down over 36 zips if I grow them taller as these plants were only 12" 14" and I can go as high at 23". Also, don't forget that these clones were already flowering when I got them and in poor condition and I had to get them back into veg mode! I am picking up new clones today and aiming for 36+ for mid march...

Yep, hes got over twice as much space as my double 400 Watt HPS grow (800 watts of HPS). He has 14 feet by 3 feet by 4 feet. I have 5 feet by 3 feet by 3.5 feet. Care to explain how I am able to do it, but you can't?

My prediction will be 8 or 9 ounces of dried and cured bud.
Hey NoDrama, I am interested in knowing what you pull down from your dual 400W for a comparison. Granted strain will play a factor, but interested none the less.

<victory dance> Why thank you :-) So do I win a prize? Baggie of good times?

Well I hope I pull 1gram per watt......that would be awesome :-)

@LedBudGuy- thanks for all the close-up pics. No arguing that those are indeed some dense nugs. Beautiful crop.....I am most envious!

Nice lookin bud. Maybe I will have to consider a couple big LED panels when I build my new flower box this spring. It would make it so I dont have to vent the room or the lights, and can run CO2 then. :hump:
