I know so many people that are freaking out about 2012. In my opinion I think this earth will be here for MUCH MUCH longer. It has already been here for billions of years (thats just what we know of)

Nothin's going to happen. If anything does, it'll all be for the better. The American Dollar will fail and we'll have to replace it with a new system of currency. Something that holds actual value like gold. We'll bring the CULTURE back to agriCULTURE and people will have to depend on subsistence farming and hunting for food. The people that can farm successfully need to arm themselves to protect themselves from those that don't already have land or crops or live stock. When the money system goes, so do the cops that aren't being payed. I've got 150 acres..... growers and farmers unite! Commune anyone?

the way I see it is this... even if something dramatic were to happen where most of us perished.. life your life for the better, and it will benefit you no matter what. I'm buddhist though so I believe that the better I live in this life it will benefit my next life and so on... just not worth it to throw your whole life away just because you think its the end... because if buddhism is correct, then your next life will be way better, or you could even transcend to another level of existence . . . .
but yeah I know many people wont be on the same side as me on this one... it requires some form of faith but the fact is I saw this guy who went into a hospital for trauma of some sort, had his eyes covered completely, and was watching from OUTSIDE his body, what the surgeon was doing, and a particular stretch unique ONLY to this surgeon that he was able to identify upon survival...
this singular event... is enough proof for me to believe in past lives, future lives, and karma to the fullest extent the buddhists believe in...

I wasn't before because I was merely taking concepts from it and attempting to apply it, but now I can safely say I'm practicing buddhism... its very powerful stuff man... look up the story of siddhartha, it got me into this for good, totally changed my life...

n yeah bro i wanna watch that movie, cause ive been reading stories outta that book bout how ppl came close to dying
but they dont and at the end of the story they always say god is watching over u n has a path for u.
im an athiest. been one for 5 years. and ive had so many close calls were i shoulda died man.
like over dosing on heroine, so many times but didnt. and was in a car wreck and shoulda died but didnt..
so im starting to actually think god or someone is realy up there watching out for me, leading me in my path like
the ppl in the N.A. book. my bad if im sorta preaching towards ya man haha.
