hey everyone,
i just got home from school. i checked the temp probe...70.0 flat nice....
but the lights are off so i left her sleep. lights come on at 5pm so ill check later, but im guessing theres nothing new to report. i decided i will upgrade to the 6 inch silo with a 42 watt cfl, but i need to figure out how to cool it and i need to find a plane of glass that will fit and work. kagenical??? haha your blueprint was dank but i need more details. for example... hot glue melts at those temps. i just need some specifics so i know what to buy. but i kinda want to keep my shopping list under $30. by the way guys...yeild is not a huge deal...if i got enough for 1 joint when im done i would be ecstatic. my main problem will be cooling tho. however im going to wait to transfer her until she starts to outgrow the 3 inch silo. i think the 23 watt = 100 watt will do for its first couple of weeks of growth. ive vegged with 2 13 watt = 60 watt before without a problem.

oh by the way, if u guys want to see some of my art ill post that too haha.

alright...best i can think of is to get an extension surge cord. ya know the ones with like 6 plugs on it? well you can fit that in your hollowed out pc. you can easily drill a hole or pull the cord through one of the holes in the back of the pc. then it will be as easy as plugging the extension cord into the wall and it will look like it just comes from the pc as a power source...ie:nothing suspicious. now you can put plug as many cords into the surge as u want. ive done this with a speaker before.

as far as lst goes:

lst stands for low stress training. often done to maximize bud production, increase colas or to make the best of a small space. branches or alternate colas can be gradually tied down to stakes at increasing angles and thus stress. by pulling those branches away you can allow more light to reach those branches and they will develop into colas full of bud instead of mere branches.

Ok here are some ideas i baked up today while getting baked. I think they will work. Basicly blueprints but once i get supplies then ima build one and try it out. If yall can read some of it or see it then let me know. Ill try and make it darker or easier to read or somethin.

i have a question.....
pretty important....
what will the smell be like from a small plant like this?
i am still in high school and still live with my parents and i need to keep odors at a minimum. the plant will be small. really small.

i have the light and its working wonders. im working with it throughout the whole plants life, as im only into like 2 weeks of the plant, its getting bigger.

it might give your room a hint of weed. But exspect it to smell some.

what are the dashed lines around the silo man?

other than that looks sweet. will def use some of that

your pics are too large to post. youll have to resize them, i just dint know how to tho.

Sheilds that i thought i could make out of 2liter coke bottles painted black or somethin. This will help the heat escape but light wont. Good idea???

And if you can tell, on the sides the sheilds cover the fan so light wont escape. And a few inches down the the sheild there is an opening to let the air out. Kinda like a tunnel. And same on top except there is a small whole in the top. But a plate under the whole. This way it can eliminate light too and air can flow out the top. My goal was to keep the thing as cool as possible by more venting but no letting the light show.

And as for the other thing i think we will have to try and put it together. It would be killer to get in a closet back behind dirty cloths and shit. But im glad i dont have to stealth grow anymore, but i do wish i knew of this when i did. haha

GOOD LORD, man! I wasnt going to sign up to this site, but after seeing this topic... well... what can I say...

Its spot on!

Anyways, this 'experiment' is pure genius. You need to summerise and conclude it, and make it into one post/document so its an easy read. 10 pages of reading is a bit excessive at the moment, but still a bloody interesting one. :]

ANYWAYS, I was thinking that maybe the fan would work a treat if you were able to run if from a nice, fat road work light. You know, the yellow flashing ones they put on road cones? They hold some hefty voltage for a simple battery and would be alot safer then trying to wire some tiny PC fan into your wall outlets! Worth a shot.

Im extremely interested in how you are doing this and am seriously concidering doing it myself!

Just... so genius.

I take my hat off to you!
