Everyday I see people give advice they read somewhere and don't actually have experience with. The problem is that it's the net folks, a lot of what you hear isn't true, some of it is half true, and some of it is true but unless you have experience in what you are giving advice on you don't know.
So take the challenge, don't give any advice unless you've had the same problem, use the same products or have experience doing something.
example of a often repeated myth
"spraying your plants with the lights on will magnify the water droplets and burn your plants"
half truth
Without a wetting agent the water balls up and the water can evaporate leaving behind condensed salts which then burn your plants. If water droplets magnified the sun the planet would burn up every time it rains. You can't burn an ant by putting a magnify glass right on it can you? No you got to hold it at the right distance and focus the light. But I probably read people saying that everyday.
So please, resist giving advice unless you know personally.
