And then he is trying to say that gays are somehow morally better than straight people because of his failed marriage.

And you completely missed my point. Which was that homosexuality had nothing to do with the dissolution of my marriage.

My wife did not leave me for a gay man, or another woman.

Actually Obama has been impressing me lately. He seems to be trying to make the best out of a rather bad situation.

In the tax negotiations he was in an unenviable position and very possibly could have walked away with nothing, but got half a loaf instead. He did this even knowing that extremists in his party would tear him a new asshole. And passing the repeal of DADT was huge.

But walking out of that presser last week and leaving Bill Clinton at the podium; WTF was that?

In the tax negotiations he was in an unenviable position and very possibly could have walked away with nothing, but got half a loaf instead. He did this even knowing that extremists in his party would tear him a new asshole. And passing the repeal of DADT was huge.

But walking out of that presser last week and leaving Bill Clinton at the podium; WTF was that?

He has 2 more years to turn it around. I'm not a super conservative, but to paraphrase a quote from McCain "the job of the president is not a journey of self-discovery where you find yourself"

I think people give the President too much credit...He did nothing without the Congress...and they do nothing without cash money! Although the healthcare crap was one of the big divisive issues...it did not create socialized medicine that would actually help the needy...of course it did not...was never intended to!

It did take away liberty while simultaneously forcing the poor to give money to the Big insurance companies...ahha! back to why it got "rammed" through!!! The insurance lobby and Big Pharm paid for it.

a few good regulations were added so some people could say it was a good thing (cuz the government has the peoples best wishes at heart)

So...No socialized medicine...No government out of healthcare...nobody is happy...Country divided...Mission Accomplished.

he must be impressing you since he is miffing me (only slightly).

i was not a huge fan of the tax cut/unemployment bill, i happen to think history sets a good precedent on unemployment and it should not need to be tacked onto a non-stimulus giveaway to millionaires that was meant to expire.

that said, i don't really give two half shits about all of that.

i am impressed at how he laid the groundwork for dadt repeal. yes, hayduke, it was technically the congress that acted. but do you think they would have wrangled 60 votes without the build up that obama created?

as far as leaving slick willie at the podium, i think he had some type of holiday party to get to and the wife was waiting. daily show did a funny little bit about it.
