I was wondering if anyone knew why my seedlings aren't growing? It started to grow once I threw it in the tray after it germinated. It grew about an inch anbthen stopped growing. Thinking that I may be underwatering it but not sure how much I shud giv it. It's currently in a root riot cube with fluoros on it. I read that the medium shud b semi dry but maybe it's too dry now? Idk any help wu b appreciated.
 
how would putting autos on 12/12 through out their life effect the yeild and thc lvls? also would it cut the harvest time in half or what? i am thinking that if it doesnt effect the yeild or thc lvls i mite try autos. please any info will help. thanks

im not familiar with riot cubes but with every media i've worked with you dont want it semi dry and you dont want it dripping wet. you want the medium to remain nice a moist through out the process. if it dries out it will kill your seedlings.

I watered them. Still droopy. I then removed all fan leaves. Yep. All of them. Left only what I thought were budding sites.

Did I do something terrible? The plants have rebounded a little bit. OR maybe I am crazy and the fan leaves removal made them look healthier.

Is this an acceptable cropping/trimming technique?

dude what you did is like taking the engine out of a car and try to drive it. the fan leaves are essentiall solar panels. you dont EVER want to remove them unless > 80% of it is damaged. your plants got droopy becuase they were dying of thirst. ether dont go out of town for a few days or your going to have to get some sort of pump setup. your plants probably wont produce a gram.

looks to me like she isn't liking the 400. did you just plant the seed under the 400? i'd suggest using floros for the first week or so. the plant doesn't need the 400hps and the light spectrum of an hps is warm colors the organes and reds which it needs for flowering and less blue which it needs for vegging. plus it'd save you alot on ur electric bill. no need to was energy.
 
I have got my 250w blue spectrum cfl on them now ( from yesterday). She is not looking any better - but 3 other girls are ok - I don't think this one will pull out:( . I got 5 blue cheese germinating so hopefully it will turn out better

dont nip it in the bud yet pal. it proably hasn't even been a full day and it usually takes atleast a few days for plants to respond to new treatments...
 
i got 5 fem purple kush runing under 100 wat hps 250 watt ufo and areogarden light take a look at pics in profile and tell me what u think i should do to inprove my yeild thanks ppl that are helping out there

looking good. a way you can probably get more colas and bigger ones is to bend and tie down. this shorten the hieght of the plants and lets you get your lights closer. with the shorter plants the light doesn't have to travel as far to get to the leaves on the bottom thus makeing better use of your lights. if you do this just be gentle. and good luck

You can always top them. Multiple times. But you have to increase your veg time. There are 2 main schools of thought when it comes to maximizing yields.

1. SOG or sea of green, many small plants that flower fast so you can hurry and get your next crop in there, my favorite that I've seen so far is the stadium setup.
2. Big huge mother fuckers, a few HUGE plants that have vegged for a long time, and will flower for a long time to produce huge buds, my favorite that I've seen so far is the multi topping and tie it down method.

It's you to you what you prefer, I myself prefer the SOG, as I think do most people. Just remember to choose your strain wisely as the genetics will help or hinder your outcome. And if you're going method 2, careful cause the plant can easily reach 6 - 7 ft..

Before you do that though, go be a Johnny AppleSeed of Weed and travel the country with a suitcase full of seeds. Spread the love. Maybe you'll find a cure for what ails you on the journey.
 
Tent looks good to me. For a light I'd go with a 150W CMH. Ceramic Metal Halide are good for veg and flowering. Quality is better too. It's 15" sq. so a 150W is plenty. That tent has the design for a couple fans. I'd go 2 or 3 seeds at first so when you sex them you can cull the male or two, and keep the female. It'd be a bummer if you had 1 and it ends up being a male. I've never used those LED, but all Buds I see from'em seem airy from them. Hope that helps.

Hi i need help, im on my first grow, i have a 1.2x1.2x2 metre mylar lined grow tent and 600w hps with reflective hood

2 of my 3 plants (bag seed) are now over 2 metres in height and ive had to tie them down, the other one isn't far behind

i just bought a 4" inline fan ttvents with heat probe and temp/fan speed control although i havent it fitted yet and i dont have heat control other than a 12" fan hitting the light to distribute the heat better and the room sits at about 30C

im just hitting the 3 week of flower after 5 weeks veg, and my plants are developing some worrying leaves, its mostly the fan leaves that are affected but they have gone half yellow from the tips inward and have dark brown spots on the yellow bits

ive broke the worst ones off but i dont want to take to many off incase it affects it too much

im using canna nuits but have spent the last three days flushing and its not helping, am i having nuit problems or heat problems?

i know i havent posted much, i usually just search the forum for someone who has the same problems and see what answers they get, but im struggling to find anything on this one and i dont want to let it go any further incase i loose them.

will try to up some pics but im on dial-up cause i live in the arse-hole of nowhere. and i work 15 hours a day 7 days a week and only get about 20mins a day max to work on them, so anything i try it's 24hours before i can see if its working.
 
The tent looks great, you would prolly want to get more than 1 in there though.
LED lighting is not as good as most people using it makes it out to be, the light doesn't penetrate very well, and you have to keep the plants quite small. They still heat up (but not as much) and you will still need ventilation.
I would seriously go with a 400w HPS ballast, you can also run a MH on the same ballast. The heat isn't going to be that big of a deal, the fans are cheep and easy it install.. If you are overly worried go with the 200w.
 
im planning 4ft x 2ft x 6ft grow box out of a wardrobe with a 400hps light for flowering about 2/3 plants any advice on ventilation and what lights to use for veg (or any at all) would be appreciated thanks very much

Go Ceramic Metal Halide. works for full grow. Have to use a magnetic coil ballast, no digital. For fans an exhaust and small oscillting one are good to start, just depends on temps.

You can use a HPS for both veg and flower. Or you could veg under a MH and flower under a HPS. If you have a HPS magnetic ballast, you can run both bulbs on the same ballast (one at a time of course).
