Hey, why do you need all these like special lights for growing? Is it because of the heat that comes off of it? Couldn't you use use a normal high watt bulb? Thanks if you can answer this
*googles what you just said*different spectrums and lumen my friend
Yeah I think lol. I had a little browse around google at CFL bulbs.. and it kept popping up about energy saving bulbs. It then came to me, I've got 4 energy saving bulbs next to me lol. But I take it they ain't on about them normal evergy saving bulbs though? This is what it says on the box of the bulbs I got:its not a matter of Watts really, its a matter of WHAT kind and how STRONG lighting ya bulb puts out. heard me?
I'll have a look in there in a minute bud I was having a gander on google about lumens. I'm starting to get the drift about lumens now lol. I found this little bit of info - Seedlings and Clones = 300 lumensThere is a whole sub-forum about growing with CFLs - all your answers and more will be there.

I use the followingI'll have a look in there in a minute bud I was having a gander on google about lumens. I'm starting to get the drift about lumens now lol. I found this little bit of info - Seedlings and Clones = 300 lumens
Veg growth = 2500 lumens
Flowering = 10,000 lumens
So would a normal energy saving bulb that produces around 300 lumens be okay for one seedling?
