To change or not to change your res and the effects it may have

I have 3 dwc buckets going 5 gallon buckets with a 30 gallon pump on each bucket, 4 inch stones. All in my wee 2x3 closet. The 2 in the back are scrogged so they are kinda permanent fixtures till I cut them down... I have no tds meter and have no way to get the buckets out without making a hell of a mess and pos killing the plants I have siphoned the water out (well most of it my roots keep clogging the hose) and refilled it 1 time but other then that I just keep topping off the with my premix dina-grow flower as called for on the bottle for non recirculating systems. Ph stays right all the time. Im in the begining of the 5th week of flowering and have small buds ( not impressed) and when I pinch them no odor ( have clipped a few fan leaves out of the scrog for better lighting and they smelled like a skunk had wiped his arse with them). They look green and healthy but stopped growing full 7 leaf fan leaves 3 weeks or so ago(only 5 leaf leaves everywhere) First time hydro grow here any advice is appreciated. Oh its under a 250 wat hps I would put pics if I could figure out how to do them here without having to have them posted ont eh net somewhere

Try using the lucas formula there is a add back factor where you top off with a certain ML of nutes each day depending upon your plant intake. Some never change their reservoir or change it only once. You can use any formula really just need to maintain consistent ratio and maintain proper PPM's

thx man will research lucas formula, they drink a 64 oz cup of water a day the 2 in the scrog at least. One of the 2 in it has 3 ft long branches 1 inch nodes top 1/3 of the branch. rep for the info thx

if you connect all your buckets together you can have one single resoviuor to feed them all outside of your closet so you can change them at will.
Ive been thinkin on a different set up with 1 rez for all of them (first timer with hydro my neighbor showed me a way his buddy does it but he dosnt scrog) how many buckets do you have in a row there? Is the pvc in the bottom just a drain? Been thinking on ebb and flow with a 7 inch rubbermaid tub, but I like the simplicity of the dwc

there was a post on here about the lucas formula with dynagro but wasnt too clear seems like you just add more to your mix but dyna gro is a lot more potent then gh and most other nutes I guess any idea what the lucas formula is with dynagro? going to switch up my setup as soon as these 2 in the scrog finish. I like the scrog idea for my little space so will put a rez out of it next time

hat up fellas? Hey Dahighone, man I hate to say this and not to talk trash, but the root system that your plant has looks entirely too small. I am no expert but all the reading I have done in just the past few months, leads me to believe something has gone wrong. it just be me too. I mean I also am conducting my first hydro (bubbleponics/cfl) grow and there are some differences that i noticed-- Do you have air rocks in each res? Are you suppose to in a DWC? Your stalk is nice and thick, but so low out of the bucket? Like I said Im new to this and might not know shit, but you stated small buds, and I now try to look at plants in a different way. Large root system = large fruit system. I have 4 ladies sharing an 18 gallon res, in their 5th week or so of Veg and they are drinking almost a gallon a day, and I empty and refill my res every 7 days. I just conducted a flush using clearex, and all four of the girls grew 2" overnight. I also try to keep the res under 78 degrees with ice packs. I hope any of this helps you. Good luck bro and stay irie. Peace

Those pics were of jesus of cannabis's plants I imagine they are young, My roots fill my 5 gallons buckets completely huge root masses like the 2nd one youve got there, my buds are getting bigger. I think the strain I have is mostly sativa and a slow budder. I would love to post pics but can figure out how to post them here without them being on the web posted somewhere any help with this would be much appreciated and will get rep for it plz help me get my pics up... If the large root system = large buds then mine should come out huge. I do have 4 inch air stones in each 5 gallon bucket like a dwc calls for with a 30 to 60 gallon pump on each air stone. your plants are looking sweet man what size light do you use? and are you gunna throw them into flower soon? I just threw my next set of clones into flower at 3 weeks veg they are 12 inches tall tryin to keep them small the plants they came off of grew huge amounts after I put them into flowering. Anyways man thx for the reply good luck with the ladies hehe
