Yeah I dechlorinate my water first and by adding just A&B it seems to bring my ph right to around 5.8 - 5.9. Just switched the lights on some of my super silver and now will be adding the PK so will have to see what that does. Man those babies are over 5' tall now. Topped them to avoid stretching too much. Does anyone have prior experience growing the Super Silver at this height? How much taller will they get? Any help is appreciated.

i use it for almost 3 weeks...at 4 ml per gallon for the most part...
i start using it a few days after the flowers develop a bunch of pistols and stop when the nugs are finished linking together... by week 6 im done using it.
the plant only needs the pk for around 7-10 days, but to make sure i give it on the exact 7-10 days it is needed, i start early and end late... and canna assured me it wouldnt have any ill side effects...
i still pump it up to 6ml per gallon during the 7 days that i suspect to be the pk sweet spot.
it depends on how long your flower time is also... if you had a 12 week flower time, than you wouldnt want to use it until like week 8 or something like that.
i believe it calls for around 6ml/gal. If i added 6 ml/gal and my regular base nutes it would be some crazy 2000+ppm. What i've always done is cut my base nutes in half, water at 2ml/gal first time, 3 ml/gal 2nd time, 4.5ml/gal 3rd time.
PK tends to be best used in a 7 - 10 day window starting about the time you see first flower formation. This typically, on an 8 week flower response group, to be about 5 weeks before harvest or 2-3 weeks after flower initiation (not light change). Adding it early will not advance or benefit flower initiation, only the amount of dark the plant sees will initiation flowering. Adding too early could result in phosphate accumulation and ratio issues involving Ca and Mg

yo jberry, dont have any questions, honestly just signed in to say thank you for starting this thread. I came upon it by accident after having given up long ago on trying to find many of the answers to questions addressed here. ive read through every page in here and honestly acquired more insight here than everywhere else combined. (im canna coco obviously). Mostly its a relief to know that there is someone who understands that people at all levels of experience(and/or intelligence/resourcefulness) need help, and if someone asks a simple question that you have already answered 15 times, you dont respond with the narcissistic heir of entitlement that so often accompanies a response from some of the self-appointed 'gods gift to plants' (UB). I've been at this about 6 months, following this thread for a couple weeks, i had no idea i was misreading the confusing canna feeding chart, no idea canna is designed for 200 ppm water, was suspicious about the effectiveness of boost......etc.... So, like I said I've got no specific questions right now, just felt a responsibility to express my appreciation from myself and on the behalf of the thousands of "scanners" out there without a voice.
Also gave up on researching the effects of music on plants many months ago, when i looked into ur thread regarding music it is by far the best collection of information I have seen, its very surprizing that thread isn't more popular, same for mycorrhiza...etc. Peace

hey Jb, 2 questions
(1) for my out door coco grow would u recomend digging a hole putting all the coco in the hole. or am i better off filling 100 gal grow bags with coco. If u think the 1st option would be better how would i feed them?

I have to agree. That is what has drawin me to this thread! Jberry is so patient with all of our requests, like Cornharvest said, even when it's been asked 20 times before. For that reason alone, I UTFSE and see what has been said. Anyways, peace to Cornharvest for saying it all so eloquently! and to Jberry for lending us all his useful information.

hey what can i say couldn't have but it better my self!
same thing with me really i had no idea about canna coco or the nutes the guy in the grow shop just recommended them to me so there i was with my 50l bag of coco not knowin a thing about it, then i stumbled across this thread and bang! all my questions were answered other night!
i read all the way through an me to was suprised on how patience jberry was answerin same Qs over an over again,
then i read through the thread a 2nd time but this time i coppied any answers or usefull info off j or many others an pasted it into my own little grow guide so thats why i try an answer a thew Qs people ask usin the info ive coppied even thow im only jus startin my 1st grow in coco. so the threads turned me into the thing i used to hate a "teacher" lol jokin!
so like ive said before thanks a lot j for the thread an thanks for helpin me help others if ya no what i mean lol

Speaking of the effect of music Cornharvest, I have had many buddies over many years that have sworn by the positive effects of music on their crops! what do you think? I have run some with music playing and it does seem to have a different effect on the plants, just my two cents! they seem to be more even and autonomic. anyone care to chime in? Especially with the effects of coco?

I got a HoMedics SoundSpa from walmart for like $12. It has a few different bird settings, and a good waterfall style white noise setting also. I've recognized a noticeable difference in growth of maybe 10%. I used to do it all crazy, setting it to bird song in the morning, using the rain setting when I watered, and even the crickets at night. Now I just leave it on a timer and let the bird song go.
Something you might not have heard of is using a small charge, just a few milliamp, running through some nails in the media. I will go digging up the thread but basically you can use low voltage ac/dc chargers or photovoltaic cells that run off of the light your lamp is providing. I've seen double growth from this method, just not in my own garden because I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Ok i know this may have already been covered but I was wondering what the best bloom booster to use is..I just switched my LSD plant to 12/12 and in about two weeks i want to use a booster but heard cannas booster wasnt worth it...What have you guys had the best success with???
And my autoflowers are about done should i flush for a week before or two weeks?
Also heard you can add stuff like orange juice or flavor extracts on the last two feeds in small amounts and your bud will pick up some of the taste...anyone try this....sounds fun!!!..lol

Good info man! I appreciate your response. All I ever heard of was just music and not nature sounds. But that makes more sense. My one buddy used to play classical music and have nothing but good words to say. I will also look into the current through medium. If you can past the link to that forum it would be appreciated. I've read somewhere that high frequency bird song causes the stomata (leaf version of blow holes) to dilate. This increases respiration rates which allows for greater intake of carbon. That's why I went with "bird music" rather than people music.

yea you should mix them all together go like A then B,rizho then boost, an use slightly less what it says on bottle an you need to be givin them more water(nutes) if there that size how you growin in coco? in pots.......? what size...? if your in pots you need to water till you get runoff in coco
so just write how your growin an some 1 on here will help you im no expert

You're plants could be going yellow for a variety of reasons. I'm thinking it is probably just hungry, phosphates, potassium, and magnesium are in high demand, but so is iron and zinc during the stretch period. Canna Boost can be mixed into the reservoir, and I suggest it at this point. I also suggest you run an extra one or two milliliters per gallon of the A and B at this point. If you have anything with Magnesium in it that would have a place in your solution as well.
Without pictures it is hard to say for certain. Could just be a pH imbalance. Flushing is usually a good idea if that is the case, then start running all those nutrients at the right pH level.
Use this to help you determine a good idea of what the appropriate levels are for each stage of the grow.

The bottles are just a guideline. Experience will tell you what to run for your given strain.
The plant is hungry right now though. Full strength of all that probably won't hurt, just mix in a very mild feeding every so often and keep your pH appropriate.

Im currently in week 4 flowering going into wk 5 wedensday. Currently experiencing browning of leaves below screen, just wondered if anyone has any experience of Browning and dying leaves in coco from the bottom up? Is this a problem with underfeeding?
Currently feeding schedule consists of:
0.3EC Tap Water
0.1EC Calmag
1.3EC Canna A & B
0.5EC p/k
Also feeding canna boost, topmax and fulvic.
Feeding at 2.2 EC getting run off at 1.8 EC (Should this be higher?) If so should this consist of more A&B or p/K?

The PK 13/14 is only meant to be used during a very short period of time. Typically around the 6th week of flowering, and only for 2 to 6 feedings in total.
Flowers shift from a setting and building phase into a swelling phase. During this period of time when the plant is changing phases it is in need for phosphorus and potassium. Timing is the key and this will minimize the "lag" and maximize the speed of switching to vigorous swelling.
No one can do anything about those leaves. They are 100% completely dead. They could have died of anything given the pictures that we have to go on because they are so far gone. But, if you've been running the pk 13/14 the whole time then that is probably a contributer. Also, your EC seems REALLY high, especially of the A+B, the max EC I'd use is about 1.8. Even that is only for a short period of time during flowering.
Without seeing more of the plant and leaves in the midst of being sick then I think the problem is over feeding. My advice is to lower the EC of your solution a good 0.4 to 0.5 so that you're just under 1.8 EC. Also, stop using the PK 13/14 until you're in the 6th week of flowering. Flush the media and establish a fresh buffer if the problem continues after 1 week.
