Just that they seem to be working well. First use of Silica additive today. More mixing and measuring, than a scoop of Jack's. I just use such a simple nute normally. I hope I can keep this color for 9 weeks.thx

yeah, i don't see anything droopy either, maybe a couple burnt leaves still from the 400 chewing them a new one! but otherwise very lush

On the first set or two at the bottom were droopy. She just told me she was ready.

i scanned over it. once i seen they were flaunting this "PILL FORM" i realized they were just proponents of pharmaceutical companies, throwing their "kids" into the front lines as the reasoning behind their campaign, or partly, i closed the page. i bet the pill form has some crazy side effects, but not only that, it has been tainted by man, which could make it ineffective, or worse, dangerous.

and dont these stupid parents know the first place a kid can get drugs is from their medicine cabinet! they're called pharm parties, and kids die from them all the time. humans will never learn...

I grabbed some pics before the Infrared bulb went off. #4 is showing a flower after 5 days of 12/12. I cut a shelf in half to drain into a bucket for later.

I started with the Infrared to mimic 'sunrise' and 'sunset' and cause UV-B damage to be repaired overnight. The more I get into research I'm thinking it's mimicking a higher elevation too. Now I found out UV-B is highest around noon, where these strains came from.
So I may have planned wrong, but next crop I'll just try something new. Glad to have you stop by. You've probably seen all the research further back, but if you get time let me know if I'm missing something.

hold on daniels, i keep getting confused. i thought the infrared was to mimic the sunrise/sunset? and I thought the CMH without the glass tube was to give you the UV-B? or do the infrared bulbs have UV-B? i must have missed something, cause i thought i did a thorough glance here!!!

The box says "Depending on the needs of your reptile, you will need an additional bulb to provide visible daytime lighting, UVA and UVB lighting." So I think it must put out some UV-B. I wanted more than the CMH gives off. I'm confusing myself constantly here.

fairly sure IR lamps don't put out any meaningful UV if any at all, seems all they are saying is if you want UV you need to add an additional bulb...I believe they imply that itis a different type of bulb, not just another one like the current one, badly worded on their part

well sorry my question busted the bubble here daniels, but at least it looks like we cleared that up real soon in this grow. so it sounds like you can still add UV-b at noon, if you would like for this round in the frigidaire. need a bulb and timer though.

IMO the UVB from the CMH will be plenty in that small a space

those IR lamps dont emit any UVB. some reptiles need UVB and UVA to survive, whereas you use an IR bulb for heat. so if your reptile needs UVB and UVA you would need to have a bulb that emits UV and a bulb for IR. i have a bulb that emits UVB and UVA, and a little IR too. but not near as much as your dedicated IR bulb. but like riddleme said, short treatments of it, say 5 min every day or every other day go along way. get like a UVB 8.0 bulb and you would be perfect in there. just short treatments. never anything over 15 minutes.

I was up-canning a Diesel X and Lstn' her to be a Mother. I topped the Royal Kush Clone too. The damn Mother Plant is filling the area. There'll be a Bonsai trimming and/or cloning from her when I go to fit the R.K in there.

The one's I found were t-5's online after I got this. My design can't do them only a Cfl or Bulb. Is there a spiral Cfl?

Oh, it didn't burst my bubble. I wanted to push the Far end of the red spectrum. This bulb is Infrared, I just thought it was more of the UV-B. I wanted the heat and far red like a 'sunrise' is red & orange and the first blast of sunlight has radiant heat.
I still think this Infrared Heat Bulb is doing something. For 5 days that is more of a flower than I expected. It is the first beginning of a bud, not a pre-flower. The top I broke off trying to super-crop has grown 5" in 6 days.

I wish it was a forum hype I was on to. I just think RM3's CMH addition made me look further. I haven't seen any "won't help" or "That's not how the plants make trichomes". Yet anyway.
I just wanted to see if I can make an Indica even stronger. Using more than a HPS, with the CMH got me started. That led me into Land-race strains from the Himalayas are from an elevation which has high UV-B and are high in CBD vs. THC which are greater for anti-spasticity.
It will be for an extended testing. I think this is the trial run, then I'll get ready to put Purple Rain in here. Maybe a different 3rd Bulb (or before).
One thing I want to do is put four clones in here as soon as they root, at 12/12. Then have two 15 min IR (or UV-B) during their dark time to see how it keeps them in Veg till I quit.

That's your field General, but I'm trying. I try to turn people to realizing KISS is better, and any canna-specific nutrient is a scam.

here is a 10.0. they have 5.0 and 2.0 in the spiral CFL. they may have an 8.0 somewhere but petsmart doesnt have it.
