ah gotcha. what was the strain and if you can let us know what the smoke was like, and yield if you can. every one should post theri yields as well if you can im just a curious guy

Sorry it took so long to get back, its been a very busy couple of weeks. They are Critical Mass. I only have a smoke report for the first pheno I harvested. I like to let it cure for a bit before I smoke. It's very potent stuff with a perfect balanced high. Its got a piney taste with a hint of fruity aftertaste but its not strong tasting at all, kind of weak actually. Very mild smell which is a big reason why I decided on the strain.

The yield was 294g with a 600w light. Its a little less than I was expecting but still pretty good considering its my first grow in like 5 years and the first I've ever put any money into. The biggest plant was 72g and the smallest was 42 but I had to pull that one a couple weeks early cause it was going full crazy with the hermi flowers.

I'm starting the next batch into 12/12 tomorrow. I'll get some pics up here pretty soon.

lol speaking of smell, the purple is the smelliest plant iv ever grown. And you cant beat the headhigh, i love it!
Just want to say thanks for all your help in this thread, iv learned alot from here and im sure lots of other folks can say the same thing, thanks again!

well the purp kush i had was a very narcotic high it just sat me straight down and i loved it. and im glad you have learned from the thread, theri is not really much use full threads to be found on this site cuz they are mixed in with thousands of retarded threads but all well. oh and your welcome.

Ok so this is my main plant, I have 4 more of the same strain all planted at the same time about 1 and a half weeks ago. Its bag seed but fortunately I know the grower, its afgan and white widdow mix. I just transplanted my beautiful looking plant yesterday into its final pot with miracle grow. I have 8- 27 watt cfls 6000k, I don't know temps, ph is about 7, lights r 18/6. I'm concerned that she got dark and leafs curled up a bit on the sides. This is my first time growing btw. I do have nutes for them but doesn't seem good to add them now since I just transplanted into fertilized soil lol on the last pic it seems almost as if someone took a razor and scrapped off the top part of the leaf, I know this isn't what happened, its just the best way to describe how it feels and looks

is that a pop corn bucket in the 1st pic, it looks like one i had while in rehab. any way the plant is looking healthy and no you dont need nutes since the soil has nutes in it you should be fine till flower and then just add flower nutes. and as for the small leaf discoloration well i wouldn't worry about that if it is the only leaf doing it and is not spreading, those leafs usually die off any way if it spreads then let me know and i will try to help. she looks fine besides some of the leafs edges seem to be tacoing upwards witch could be a sign of heat stress, mabye you should find out the temps to be safe and rule out heat. also make sure not to over water her at all. thanks for sharing and post as many updaes as you want, when do you plan on lsting her?

hey whats up man dont worry about the length it took to get back to me its all good i understand people have lifes to live hope you were busy for good reasons.
and hey i love piney and fruity tastes in herb they are actually mt favorite tastes. i was getting some powerplant they was so dam piney tasting and i loved it. and was the weight dry weight, lets see 294 grams is a lil over 12 ounces witch is shy 4 oz of a pound so ya i say you did a very well job.
the last grow i did last winter i harvested a about a qt oz shy of a half pound off 2 plants i think it was my 5th grow under a 600hps i was getting bigger and bigger yields each grow and im sure if i were still at it i could be getting a pound under 1 600. but i cant grow for a long while.
and i will be looking forward to the pics

This plant is like 3x bigger than the other 4 so she is gonna get the VIP service lol well I'm hoping she is a she lol I am planning on getting a temp gauge for the room(well actually closet) but just haven't got around to it. I think its staying about 85 in there when the lights r on.

she looks great nice job, i just noticed that you are one of the few that uses the stakes to hold them down its not a bad thing though just an observation

well you want to do it a few days before flower or sooner, and i would wait a few more days to start LST cuz it was just transplanted so you could start to any time after 3 days is my thought. 85 should not be to hot. what soil did you start the plants in they all should be around the same size, throw up some pics of the others if you like mabye we can help them grow better

I used some soil that was in my garage lol nutes on it were like 15-10-10. But the one plant just took off compared to the others, really suprised me lol

they look to have the yellowing at the bottom. d you know your PH for sure is 7 or is it a guess it shouldnt be a Def. cuz the soil had nutes in it. also i noticed you dont have any perlite in the soil or at least not much, perlite helps plants get more oxygen and help with drainage. im not to sure on what they are experiencing any one else have any suggestions for QC

I have a ph tester but nothing to control my ph, I've looked but don't know what to get. Can you recommend something? I'm a complete novice as you can tell lol ph is 7-8 which I know is high but once again I didn't know what to buy.

ph downer and upper is what you need to get the correct ph just add a few drops at a time and then test till you have a proper ph, anywhere between 6-7 is ok for a plant and if you add nutes to the water the nutes wil also make the p either rise or lower, my nutes i used droped my water from 8 all the way down to about 5

after i fim and wait for the tops to produce, should i then tie each top down in opposite directions?

kinda confused and trying to see what other peeps have done

btw, all these lst posts are absolutely beautiful, any help would be appreciated!

So i would start with the main top and tie it down and you start seeing shoots grow bigger and bigger, than start tieing those down in different directions.

If you are going to top or fimm i would wait until your about to flower than top or fimm than wait a couple of days than put in flowering!! Just my 2cents!

I agree, because if you LST you really don't need to top the plant. By doing LST you are creating tops that wouldnt naturally be there, without having to cut the plant at all.

Got a product name? I looked @ home depot and they didn't have anything for ph levels. I got a temp gauge in my closet and its 83 with light on and door closed, 45% humidity. So yeah its the ph throwing my plants off

With that long of a veg, I would just use LST, but I am by no means an expert.

i really dont like to fim at all all fim is is a fucked up topping attempt gone wrong, i love toppin once and then doing lst a great way to do this is after the plant has 4-5 nodes top it at the second this will produce 4 main colas after they grow a few inches strat to lst these in and x shape one branch going each way. here is a pic of mine to show what i mean this one endued up with 6 main tops and i only topped once then i tied them over and flowered but unfortanutly it was a hermie and lanky.

its up to you i love to top 1 time and lst after and you only want to veg that long if you have a bigger space in width and keep them short by continually tying them down even from seed i only vegged about 3 weeks cuz the plants were at 8-10 inches tall and i didnt want any taller than that, then i would do some lst a day before flower . if you do top or fim id say to top FIM means fuck i missed at topping correc

I just started LST recently. My plant is on Day 32 right now. I just started adding nutes on Day 31. I am growing in a small 2x2x2 box, converted from a dresser lol. I have tied it down about 3 times so far I think. I topped it around wk 3, and LST around wk 4. She (hopefully) is doing well. I am LST because of space restrictions. Plus I want to get as much bud off it as I can. lol.
