if you're a new grower, stick to 1 cola, after your second or third grow you'll learn exactly how your strains act to nutrients, light, different soil mixtures and environments....
when you top a plant you don't top the roots, you can potentially burn your plants because you're reducing the size of the plant while the same amount of nutrients are speeding in...with nowhere to go but 2 tiny growth tips that eventually will be the new tops.
the best way to do it according to ME..is a 4x4 flowering chamber (16 square feet) with either 8 or 16 plants, 1 per square foot being the most, with a tiny 2x1' table.
overall yield will be improved for every week of veg time...the longer you give the plant to fill out before flowering the more budsites its able to develop, new growth tips stop being made and the plant works off of what it has after 2 weeks of flowering(after the stretch).
depending on what your growing:
veg for 30 days minimum, it should be at least 12" tall, branches should be on 5 bladed leaves, fan leaves should have 9. they go 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 as they grow.
what container should i put it in to be 1 square foot
and if i want the plant to be 5 foot when should i start to bud it
cool thx. but how much sativa is in your plant because i heard thats what makes it grow so quicklyA good general rule to follow is: The size pot (in gallons) should be equal to height (in feet). So if you want to grow a 5 foot plant, it would be happiest in a 5 gallon bucket. These roots grow fast. I have 6 girls going now, and they are in half gallon pots, and the roots could be seen at the holes in the bottom by late 2 weeks.
If you want the plant to be 5 feet tall, then you should probably flower it when it gets to 2 feet. My plant is currently 20 inches tall (53 days old), and it started growing an inch a day when it got to a foot. So keep that in mind.

how would i go about doing that?Yes you should always test the pH of your water, it is a good habit. Adding nutes will affect the pH a little, so just test the water after the nutes are added, and chances are you'll need to make it a little more acidic. (6.5 is ideal)
without spending large amounts of money? veg for longer!!!how would i go about doing that?
and is there any other simple tricks or tips to get higher yielding crops?
