3 days before hand because what happens when you turn a plant 12 12 it generates more of the sexuality hormone wich is also the maturity hormone sexual maturity lol and thats why when you flick a plant to 12 12 its starts to flower because of the build up of that hormone so a 1-3 day dark period before flower will help boost the hormone and act as a way to start flowering faster and the 3 day dark period at the end also helps as well to finish a plant sub talks about it in one of his threads about having a small dark room to finish or start plants in if oyu have to becuase of cloning to much or lack of space or what ever the reason

ill have to research that but to me that doesnt sound right. i veg 24/7 and go into a hard flower straight to 12/12 and i see pre flowers in 5 days. i wouldnt want to waste those 3 days of light to possibly cut that down to 4 days. do you have any articles or postings about this technique?

so again if you want to manually start budding ie FLOWERING you can have a short dark cycle to help the hormone build up BUT dont listen to me doit for your self on 1 plant instead of saying NO NO NO

also why do you think you do the the 3 day dark period at the end it senses death thats why i wouldnt exactly do 72 hours full im thinkin 36 just for a slight healthy build of florigen and to reset my light schedule the plants get more mature and theirs a slight bit of stretch due to the auxin build up ( cell elongation )

You dont know what your talkin about LMAO Nah Im just playin dont go crazy now. But I agree with you as for leaving them dark for at least 24hrs I did that with mine and when the lights came on they did look like they were ready to flower. Ive heard that from a few growers I thoght quit a bit of growers do that.
