Now my patna was goin to grab some reg seeds. He has bad luck with the guys. I promise no matter what yu gets like 90% female and the other males are not worth taking pollen from. Long story short... he want to up the chances on gettin a keeper male.
Eny tips??

uh, buy some seeds? i don't know exactly what your question is man, if you want male seeds just buy some seeds with good genetics and you'll get some

@killer my friend is located in the states and its very rare to find someone that's willing to give a top male cutting

This is something I'm still testing but seems like if you keep feeding veg nutes through transition / stretch you'll have a higher male to female ratio.

Sounds like what is happening he is getting some stuff that had a hermie flower pop up late in flower, giving you guys feminized seeds. If you are looking to get a make, just order some regular (non-feminized) seeds and the ration should be about 50-50.

When hermies pollinate (self pollination) the seeds dont become feminized, They have a higher tendency to become hemies themselves

Look up seed feminization- the only way to make fem seeds is to induce a male flower on a female plant. That sounds like a hermie to me.

Also- it doesn't have to self-pollinate, especially if one or two flowers show up in a room full of plants.

Hilltop had a misunderstanding about feminized seeds, so I explained how fem seeds are made. The OP indicated that his buddy was getting 90% female plants from the seeds he was planting, so this is all very relevant to the conversation. Before you jump on folks for not reading, you might want to make sure you have read this stuff thoroughly yourself. If you can't keep up, don't chime in.

@ anomolies Well its interesting what your doin nutes wise. Let me knw how that goes. But as far as hermies he only cops reg seeds and he has never had a herm problem. He knws how to make fem seeds. Its a no brainer just use the colloidal silver (if that how you spell it). Thanks 4 the input from all of you guys

ok just let me grow it for ya I seem to get mostly male's lol . No for real if you look around there are ways to stress a plant into being male. But there are a lot of peeps around here that can tell you more then I about it. I'm still a noob to all this. I put a link below. If you read it you will see he talks about using light to stress a plant into going male. It's one of SICC's threads and I have to say if you want to learn read his threads. He is good, and I'm a big fan of his. if the link don't work its on the same page as this thread. should be easy to find.

Well the info you are looking for is easy to find look how to make more female's and do the opposite eg
More blue light for females give them orange cooler temps make more fem give them warmer growing temps high nitrogen makes more fem give them less you get the point the info is easy to find!

There is also a thing called gibberellic acid. That will also do it. But you will need somebody that knows more than me about it to find out how to use it.

the veg nutes should work. if you read jorge cervantes grow bible (i thinks were it talks about seeds). it says a seed bank (dutch passion i think) did some test and tells you how to get more females/male..high nitrogen promotes more males, high P-K promotes more females. ( now dont go bruning your seedlings be smart about it)...also temp has something to do with it too..ill get back with better info.

bruh dnt use that mess. Furthemore thats if you want fem seed AND they dnt use that anymore to my knowledge they use silver salt (collide salt). Im currently experimenting with this process and procedure. I can see your a noob (as I) PLz PLZ PLZ read up on your stuff. Not tryn tp play you or enything. What part of that statement gave you the impression that I was acting like I knew something I didn't. I was NOT acting like I know shit bro. I even said I DIDN'T KNOW. What I was saying is that I have heard that you can use it to stress a plant to get a male(read a tread on it 2 days a go). So get off by back. Keep your hatein to your self.
