Pc grow case using soil

Hey V, what's going on in your world of growing? I did what you suggested and put Sassy in a larger pot, I just pulled her out of the old pot (dirt and all) and place the whole thing in a new pot without touching or disrupting the roots. I put some more soil in the bottom of the new pot and a little bit on top of Sassy.

Risky and un necessary during flower. Once they are in flower that long all their energy is put into flowering and root development justs about comes to a hault.

Sassy was definitely root-bound with no room to grow her roots. She will thank me for the bigger pot by giving me some good smoke

Hey Bonzi.
I grew in clear pots for well over a year in order to understand what happens to cannabis roots, I documented it in my journal. The roots never stop growing and in the case of sativa dominant strains they don't even slow down that much.
I just did a quick search on altavista and found this which seems to confirm what I found:

It says:
Because roots continuously grow at the tip, the root-hair region shifts along with it. In effect, this means the hairs have to be built up and broken down every few days.

Hey V, thanks for clearing up the issue of transplanting during flowering. I trust your knowledge of growing and will continue learning from you. Everything from watering (pH & ppm), nutes and lights to lst, you taught me and it has helped me grow Sassy. I welcome all opinions and advise

DAY 48 FLOWERING: AUGUST 14, 2010

I always use a moisture meter before I water Sassy, I only water her when she is moist or near dry.

My power went out Friday and I just realized that this affected my pc case. I checked the time today and the lights were on at 4pm when they should not be on until 7pm. Her light cycle has been off schedule for 2 days. This might be the problem with the leaves.

Hey Rastadred22, Sassy has been lst and even doing this she is still 12in tall. This is my first grow in a pc case. I do know V12xjs, Crazytrain and Phase420 all have done well growing in a pc case. I would not recommend growing a sativa like I'm doing in a pc case

btw how big is that tree? and have u had a previous grow in a pc case? just curious how much someone can yeild from a pc...i men other than it being droopy it looks great

Day 56 (12/12 )
Day 33 Flowering since sex

I was informed that the flowering period doesn't begin until sex is determined. So Sassy is 33 days into flowering I transplanted her ( had to she was rootbound and needed a bigger pot) and moved her to the closet because she is getting too big for the pc case. Also, I got my 2 Blue Mystic & 1 Chronic or Hash/Haze (can't remember what the free seeds were) seeds in cups and waiting for them to spout, they will go into the pc case. Here is updated pics of Sassy.

Hey chief, looking good and green . How many lights are you using? I LST'd my ble mystic kind of like yours, check it out. The blue mystic will treat you nicely, very hardy strain.

Thanks Napa, I'm using 3-2700k and 1-6500k. I plan to add 1-42w 2700k and 1-42w 6500k. I want to get the most yield from Sassy with the restrictions I have living in an apt. Your BM's are looking great and LST will help yield more. You know I will be following your progress with this grow so I can make sure I don't stress my BMs too much.
