They have had one AACT tea application, drench and foliar spray, but no nutrient supplements as the grow medium contains 25% decomposed organic cow manure and potting soil organic fortifying components. I'll give them another AACT tea hit when they begin flowering in July and another in August to keep the microherd happy. Otherwise, it's well water as required and a neem oil treatment in early July to take care of bug threats.

It is amusing to read threads discussing pricey veg/flower nutrient supplement brand name discussions. Thanks, but I'll keep my money in my pocket.

Here's last year, watered twice before harvest with one tablespoon molasses per gallon of water. Probably cost me all of $3.00.

This is my first year with AACT teas. They've had a drench and foliar application and will receive another in flowering. Other than that, nothing but water.

I grow indoors for many reasons (its not legal for medical use in the state I live; Plus, I like having complete control over the plants environment)
Not only all that, but.. in the summer time.. it gets fucking HOT here where I live. Right now, we're having temps that are hovering around 95`F all the way up to 101`F during the day. Night time temps get down around 73`F to 80`F. Also, the humidity levels around here.. are VERY high which runs the Heat Index up to around 105`F to 110`F. So, its just too hot and humid this time of year to grow outdoors where I'm at.

But my god man.. I'm going to have to eventually try an outdoor grow. Maybe start them indoors.. and then move them outdoors after they've gotten big and strong enough (mature enough) to handle the outdoor environment. The only months that we have where the day time temps are acceptable to grow in.. is between the months of March and May. Usually towards the end of June (like now) is when our temps really start getting too hot to grow outdoors. But yeah, I'm going to have to try outdoor grow at least once.

But for now, I'll stick to my indoor environment.

But again, that lady is BEAUTIFUL.. and MONSTEROUS! Is that a purple strain of some kind? Sure looks it.. either way.. beautiful! Magnifico!

And lastly.. Molasses can work wonders if used correctly. It also adds a bit of a sweeter taste to the buds IMO. Most people try and argue that fact.. but.. if you know enough about botany and how plants work.. then you'd probably change your mind about thinking that Molasses doesn't do anything for Cannabis.

Not only does it help sweeten up the taste and smell of the buds.. but it also speeds up the plants metabolism.

If I could figure how to simplify the nightmare of fall trimming and manicuring I'd really be happy.

Yeah, I'm thinking of doing that this go around. Just started another Nirvana 'Ice' grow. Just one plant.. as I just had one seed left out of the pack. She's about a week into veg now. Still very very very young yet.. but I think whenever she gets a good week or two into flowering.. I think I may just give her some natural sunlight.. and let her bathe in the sunlight outdoors.. on nice sunny days. Then bring her back inside after a good long sun bath... that way she can cool down a little too. I think I will try that this go around..

Also, I plan on giving her some LST this go around.. maybe even top her this time too.

Giving my plant a few hours each day.. of some nice bathing in the natural sunlight.. would definately be beneficial to her in the long run. Would probably help harden up the buds as well.. since she'll get WAY more lumens from the sunlight.. then she will get from my current lighting setup. Which is as follows: I got 2 150's (HPS lights) which produce something like 16,000 lumens per light.. for a total of 32,000 lumens (give or take a few) Then for side lighting.. I have a few high wattage CFL bulbs (150watt ones). Which really does help believe it or not.

Also, and lastly.. you don't like trimming your ladies after harvesting them?? I don't mind it.. I remember my first successful harvest.. trimming was a blast then.. but now.. after having 5 grows under my belt.. I still get excited about trimming. Er well, not sure if its the trimming that I'm excited about.. more than the fact that I just had another great successful harvest.. which is probably why I don't mind trimming my plants I suppose.

Anyhow.. good luck on your current and future grows buddy.

When looking at pounds and weeks of dry/trim/manicure, not being allowed in the house in trimming clothes because homeless people living under bridges look and smell better, trim everywhere and scheduling cure jars burping, there are more pleasant ways to spend one's time. But once that last jar is sealed, I'm already looking forward to the next year.

I am using 25%native 50% Black Gold (was gonna use FFOF but too expensive in my area) 20% perlite and 5% decomposed cow and horse manure, which rock cause I have tons of this "shit" layin around everywhere i go Feeding them some fresh clean "Culligan" water and every other feeding will give them some tea!

I'd personally leave the perlite percentage for air purposes and replace some of the native soil component with more decomposed cow manure. Good to hear others aren't paying Fox Farms ridiculous prices.

My uncle is one of the most successful farmers I have ever met....and I don't think you and him do much different....he has INSANE crops....madness I tell you...and he can't stand the fact people fork out so much money...you and him are people that seem to be one with nature Love it!

I grow outdoors here in Santa Cruz now, here for school and stuff, but its a bit tougher than the sunny mountainsides back home in Mendo....urbanization is partly to blame... we get a lot of fog, high salinity, and who knows what else is floating around in it. Airborne city waste.... so you often have to use things to make them a bit more happy....but its not that bad! Pleanty of wonderful sunshine, although its def not as good as back up north!

Thank you. The science behind outdoor growing hasn't changed in thousands of years. If one understands the relationship and balance between plant, grow medium, sun, air and water, there are, in spite of marketing guru claims and buzz word labels, no secrets or 'miracle' supplements . Insecurity due to a lack of basic knowledge sells a lot of unnecessary products. The best example of that foolishness I can point to is a majority of the world's premium hash being produced from cannabis grown by individuals and villages who are completely illiterate. Good luck with marketing claims and labels in that world.

Concentrate on the grow medium and you can alleviate many of those concerns. Have a great harvest!
