well i had five different strains and four germed in two days but I dropped three.....
and those three died....to make the story short
it was in the morning and shit just went wrong
but right now i think i am about 7/8 days to today

Your curling leaf could be magnesium deficiency, I've had that too.... I'm on my first grow however so I'm no pro. Have a check on some of the forums and see if magnesium deficiency fits with your symptoms. Epsom salts are fairly cheap and ubiquitous and ought to remedy the problem fairly quickly.
Your grow is looking good, I can tell you are very excited about this project! Good luck.

just remembered my dad has a soil pH meter! i know they're not amazingly accurate but at least it will give me an indication of what's going on.

day 13: apart from the leaf curling, everything is cool. i'll be chacking pH later and adjusting accordingly, aiming for 6.5. does anyone have an opinion on this pH level?

i think it might be on day 8 or 9, not sure really. day 13 applies the the eldest one and the others are a few days behind.

day 14: after yesterdays pH challenge, the eldest plant is looking quite overwatered. i flooded it with a vineger containing feed (2 tbsps in 2 litres of water) to try and lower the pH. overzealous, i know. won't be doing this again.

have now ordered pH down, ionic boost and ionic bloom, and a pH testing kit.

also potted buddha 1 up into a bigger pot, dry medium. hopefully this will revive her a bit. stuck her in the sun too since it's a nice day. made sure i scrubbed the pot first and then thoroughly rinsed it, too.

any opinions? help is appreciated!

looks to me like definite over watering by the dropping of those leaves.....probably dont water for a few days....2-3 days should do it
and those babies will be reaching up for the light....then you hit them with so water after their drought and BAM!!!! they are springing into life
looks healthy enough though

sweet, cheers dude! i haven't touched them yet, apart from wetting the new medium i'd potted the big girl up into.

my pH down should come today or tomorrow, should i wait until she's looking better before using? i.e. is it worse to leave at a higher-than-optimal pH or to over water?

ya don't worry about it for now, you don't want to compound that watering issue (i mentioned this in your other thread a minute ago). once they perk up and start reaching for the light, wait ANOTHER few days, then continue your normal watering schedule, but with treating your water. remember it doesn't take much of that pH down to treat a lot of water, so go very little at a time (a drop out of the tip of a straw per gallon, test, repeat as necessary). when you do this, make sure you mix the water REALLY well after applying the pH Down before you test it, it needs to fully dilute and mix into all the water, you don't want it to be unmixed.

i have high hopes that you are going to be turning this around quite quickly. you are already sorting the issue out a lot faster than i did, and even i recovered just fine. oh, and Subb'd =D

cheers for subscribing dude! hopefully i'll have her back on track soon. i've put her out in the sun today since it's absolutely boiling! do you think this will be a shock to the system? she's only been out in the sun once before and i don't want to freak her out.

i'll be reaaally careful with the pH down, will be following advice to the letter for the next week or so.

when you say "wait ANOTHER few days", do you mean don't water after they've started growing again for a few days? leave them in the dry?

also, the big one had developed some yellow spots on her older leaves. i thought maybe from being too close to the CFL after her flood? or after her first exposure to the sun? i've been really careful not to get nute water on the leaves so pretty sure it isn't that. i'll attach a pic

the first pic shows the yellow spots, the last pic shows where i think the sun may have scorched her. the top right is not shadow now but the result of the top leaves shading this patch from direct sunlight yesterday. what do you reckon?

and how long has it been out there??
that spot looks nasty but it doesnt particularly look like light burn....but i dont have much experience outdoors
i would suggest keeping it inside cause you are shocking a not 100% plant

the temp outside is about 26 degrees apparently. only in the UK so shouldn't get too hot, today is a scorcher by UK standards though!

i've brought the biggun inside now, the little ones never went outside. i'm just gonna leave her now and hope she makes a recovery. all the new growth looks really healthy so i reckon she'll be fine. i've also raised the CFL so the light is not too close.

the second baby has retard first leaves cause i took her out of a propagator and they didn't like the change in humidity! all new growth is good though.

fingers crossed all will be well, i'll just leave em to their own devices for now!
