I'm just chilling, watching the grass grow.....

6-9-10 (Day 11) - Not sure if the ocean forest soil is less h20 retentive than previous soils I used...but it does seem this soil is drying out a lot quicker than my previous grows... I loved that my grows required watering every 3 days only... I really hope I don't have to water EVERY day..grr....

- Realized that whether I go LST or standard grow, that my 600w MH is just NOT big enough to veg 9 of them (considering their footprint)... So, I ordered a Hilux 1000w MH (109,000 lumens) to use for veg once I transplant... And then I'll I have the 600w MH as a supplement if needed...

That's all I got... Again, questions and comments etc are encouraged...

Growth seems to have picked up a bit. Still trying to figure out my gameplan regarding LST... I'm thinking of doing LST on 2 blackjack, 2 bubbelicious and the one mystery white strain......I don't know.. anyone?

Yes, it's here, however, not sure if I'm going to need it. Going to try to squeeze the veg in under the 600w MH....

Update with pics coming later today. Girls are looking strong and rooting very nicely...

u might wann try using the MH for the last 2 weeks of flowering?? that is supposed to help with the trich production and what not. just an idea of a way to put it to use. =) everythings lookin good so far. adn ywa i would do teh LST... if done correctly u can greatly increase ur yirld doin that. =)

so how much were all those CFLs man? and how many watts are each? Im growing same number of plants as you ive only got a 300w CFL do you think i need a few more? Looks great man, nice set up, hope you top your last grow!!

I'm going to be using the current 600's reflector/ballast for the Hortilux 600w SUPER HPS in flowering... I know all about the yield implications... Just thinking a bunch about the amount of space/light I have (A LOT)...and then, the thought of LST'ing all 9...... Still on the the fence obviously... :)

Cheap... each enclosure with round metal reflector was 4 bucks...plus the cost of the 6500k 23w bulbs (about 2 bucks each).... Not bad.. I'm not using CFL's anymore though..

I think I'm going to LST the mystery white strain, one bubble and one blackjack... I'd rather start slow...I think:-?:-?...still not sure obv..

Girls will be getting their second dose of big bloom today, and we'll be at "week 1" on the Fox Farm soil feed schedule...

This first one is something that I'm REALLY impressed by...Check out the unbelievably tight node structure on this BlackJack




AMAZING! no? It does seem that this node structure is a good representation of the other 3 blackjack's. Bubblelicious, while certainly tight, and looking bushy, it's just not quite like what the blackjack is doing. I've never seen it this tight. Seems to be just under 1/2 of an inch per node....

LOL I know but just about all his plants are that way and they're many different strains. He was over here for a while until FDD banned him for talking trade or something.

FDD has a bit of an attitude from what I've seen....


Girls just got their dose of Big Bloom...Night night...

Things are looking good. I've never had plants this short, 17 days in. Obviously, that's because this is the first grow I've done with MH.... Really liking what it does..Very impressed.

Huge supply of Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom and Grow Big just got here. As did the soluble trio (beastie, open sesame & cha ching)...

Still a little uncertain as to my direction with LST. If I want to LST...I need to transplant...but I will be transplanting into the much larger planters...reducing the effectiveness of the MH (due to the larger footprint)...... If I don't LST...then I can veg them in their small planters and transplant a few days before flower to make room for the new flowering growth....

Something to think about...

why lst when you can top them and not even have to transplant yet?

simple math to me... 10+ colas vs 2 or 4.... Also, stress vs no/low stress...

I suppose I could just transplant and go to the 1000w and veg under that for the last 1/3rd of veg... what do you guys think?
