sounds like you need to be uber trained to scrub pelicans from what i hear, or own a boat and license to float some boom. seems like the only thing people like us can do is picking up tar blobs from the beaches, or something similarly tedious. which is something i would do for min wage and 1/2 the travel costs. i'll camp out in my car. you hearing this bp?

i bet people near the coast are feeling this a lot harder, and probably need the work more, and are closer...nonetheless my offer stands

I'm there. I need my travel and per diem covered and I'll work for free for a couple of weeks. We have record unemployment in this country. FDR would've already created an agency and put half a million people to work by now. Get it together Obama!:cuss:

For real dude.

got a link? from what the news is saying they aren't really letting too many people do much of anything. :(

BP came out with a TV ad telling me not to worry, they have it all under control.

Yeah, my job with the Census is coming to an end shortly. I should run down to the coast and see if I can get one of those $200/day cleaning jobs.

wow. genious fucking idea! there's a million people sitting around biting their nails waiting for the phone to ring on hopes of a job offer as well as cursing BP and the government and the rest of the problems in the world. if those million people with nothing better to do went out and tried to actually fix something what entertaining chaos would ensue :-o

good luck..... all those ads you see for the "oil cleanup" seem to be a bunch of bs..... I dont know of anyone that got on, and most of us unemployed bastards down here have applied and heard nothing. It's a song and dance for media cameras.
