Rant time for Rusty

[RANT] FFFFFFFFFUCK VN Commodores!!!!!!!! Whoever designed the piece of SHIT must have been a Japanese, midget, contortionist, fucking mongoloid.
Everything is ready for blue slip/rego but the day before inspection the brake lights decide to fail totally.
I looked up the problem on google and followed peoples advice without joy all fucking afternoon in the rain. Fuses, bulbs, loom, brake switch etc first. I removed the radio which for some mystical reason is on the same circuit as brakes.

To remove the radio you need to dismantle the console and half the dash just to see the last two bolts that are in an almost inaccessible region of the deepest part of the central dash. The air conditioning and heater switches are connected to pneumatics, electricity and a small metal bar which I found out completely by feel after almost tearing the dash to pieces with my one good hand in fit of completely justifiable uber rage. I felt both  and  at the same time, times 12.

After taking the radio out and re-assembling the 1275 piece of chinese fucking shit crap slut jigsaw of a dash the FUCKING BRAKE LIGHTS STILL DON'T WORK!!!!!!!

Instead of taking it out on the cat like usual I took the car down to the shops and bought a 4 pack of Jack. Its nice and wet so I flogged its ass off for 20 mins around town. If it wasn't for the 3.8L V6 I would seriously have torched it today.

Plastic piece of down syndrome gayness......[/rant]

hahah i was thinking the same thing after seeing ninja's post. Im hoping while the intensity isnt as much and all, im praying that it will just cause slower growth but not "poorer" growth. Ie. Get the same result but just slower to get there.

How many you got though dpmymrs? 5x36watts (only 180watt) seems to work ok and to me seemed to be growing like mad. That said my "strongest" plant is still shit in comparisons to the smallest one Ninja has.
Im thinking it may also be a heat issue though. FLuoro pumps out next to no heat. SO whats the temps in your room?

@rusty: that whole radio/brake circuit issue doesnt sound right? Did you get work done to it before you played with it? Because that REALLY sounds fucked to have the two on the same circuit?

ive got 2 twin fixtures. so 4 tubes. the room/huge cabinet is completely sealed with plastic and when the lights have been on for a coupla hours at least, the humidity really kicks in...the mylar fogs up and when i undo the velcro'ed plastic door, condensation flicks off the plastic...i havent checked the temps lately but jus judging by feeling, it'd only be bout room temp

and yea i can touch the tube, even when its been on for 10 hours...and yea im getting decent growth outta the fluoros but i kno, that for not so much more money, i can get better results. well not so much better but faster.

I had a VK Calais when I was younger & after letting my mate put my stereo in, the whole system would cut our whenever I touched the brakes :-?

I've owned 5 different kinds of Commodores over the years and I wouldn't own another... Holden are as Australian as meat pies but we can't build cars for shit... Leave that to the asians, they can't drive them, but they sure can build them....:-)

Good food, Shit drivers ? :P

The sad thing is that the VN was mostly designed by TOYOTA.

Give me an XE falcon any day.
Where did u discover this erroneous fact?
Toyota brought the plans off Holden for their Lexen model, they did it in the VN, VP & VR.
Holdens were Australian Made & Designed through & through until the VT. Then we opted for German Engineering. Even things like the Astra use the Opal motor.. Piece of shit that needs the timing belt changed every 75,000KM rather than every 100,000KM.

Buy a Subaru. I haven't lifted a Spanneron mine since new, other than the VERY occasional service I do myself..

The Wiki says that the body was based on a stretched out OPEL design. Holden did actually design the engine which is great after you change the water pump, timing belt, coil pack and crank angle sensor. The transmission doesn't match the engine on this model but I've got a 5 speed lined up for it.

Oh right....its RIU not "Just Commodores".

Pic 1: My new DWC bucket has integrated nicely.

Pic 2: Two "Amsterdam Bubblegum" seedlings that are being fostered out in the next week or two.
