i dunno , i guess depends on what you consider pros and cons. The medium is inert and doesnt hold nutrients. So essentially its kind of like growing hydroponically because you are controlling what the plant gets and what doesnt.
pros are
it can be more forgiving than soil if you need to flush
you can regulate nutes at all times
for someone who knows what they are doing , you get bigger yields from coco than you would from the same soil grow. ummm.
cons
have to water to run off
drys out quicker than soil
theres a simple way to measure ec by just measuring runoff , but the proper way is a 5 step 24 hour process.
known for fluctuating up on the ph and for its cal mag issues. lol.
