funny you say that because the same thing happened to me my first run indoor :wall:
vegged for about 5 or 6 weeks and they ended up about the same height as yours.
I was battling heat stress and bad case of mites
Yeah Im glad I had at least some experience from about 6 yrs back with a cabinet 400 watt setup. Otherwise I dont think it wouldve worked out as good as it has. First runs in a new setup are a bitch.

MMmmm... soooooooo frosty. And its only the beginning.
Thanks captain Im feelin good about the quality.

what breeder are these seeds from.. looks fucking amazing, very good genetics fa sho
I dont know the breeder on these but I did get the clones from harbourside in Oakland. They area little weak I think even the clones cant handle the 250ppm that Im giving them. Where as the wonder woman babies love it.

So I typed up this update last night and it got erased when I attached the pics. I was pissed!

well here goes another try. I was surfing around the web learning grow methods and whatever I can about growing indoors. [Not very uncommon] While searching around I ran across a thread talking about high temp areas and the benefit of sealing your room to keep temps down. I think this could really help me out so the ac wouldnt work so hard in the upcoming 100F temp. Right now Im turning over the air in my room 2 1/2 times a minute. Hard to cool off air thats only there for 25 seconds. When you seal a room you must add co2 and so I was checking the systems out. I know that I was just saying the other day that I wouldnt add co2 for quite some time, but thats the only way to seal the room effectively.
Then I found this fairly new co2 generator for smaller rooms 10' x 10' or less. With assumed 8' ceilings that is 800 cubic feet and I only use 320. Its made by hydro innovations and is called the minigen. It is only 6x7x10 inches! Also it can be ran with a chiller and puts out almost no heat. But without the cooling it only puts off 1250 per hr. And in my case will not run near that long. So I was sold at this point. It will be a nice addition to the shed. And I should be able to cool it no problem. Oh yeah and I got the c.a.p. ppm3 controller. I know this isnt the baddest ass controller out there but its the only one that I could find that would allow me to view current ppm and controll the generator automatically w/o having temp and humidity controls that I dont need. I found the best prices online and my local shop matched them. $269 for the generator at plantlighting hydroponics and only $350 for the ppm3 on ebay. retail for the gen is $349 and the controller is $479. Its worth searching well before you purchase it just saved me over 200 bucks.
I also recently got a great deal on a dual hose portable ac from home depot.com if anyone needs one. For $399 they are selling a 13500 btu royal sovereign. most dual hose 12000 btu units are $500 or more and the 14000 btu are $600. So this seems like the way to go.
I also had probs with my soleus 70 pint dehumidifier not ever turning off. So Im returning it for $228 and I found a place called refurb depot that sells refurbished 65 pint models for $99. Im on that shit too.
So in a week and a half Ive got hella work to do. Building the veg/mom/dry box in the shed and ditch the carbon scrubber. Seal the room and build a tray/res stand with castors.

Heres the veg/clone box with my 18 out of 20 sprouted wonder woman seeds and a few hindu skunk clones now reverted finally into vegatative state and rooted well. All have been transfered to ph'd 3" cubes. They also had some algae growth on top so I covered them.
IMG_1787.jpg
There are 4 seedlings that are a lot bigger than the rest. This is my fav.[probably a male]
IMG_1793.jpg
Heres a bud that was getting too much light. It has lumen burn so I backed off the lights a little.
IMG_1797.jpg
This is my plant worst affected by the root rot besides the one I lost. Looks broken but I assure you its alive and well. actually one of the healthiest looking plants I have.
IMG_1796.jpg
Heres the top of the same plant
IMG_1799.jpg

Another affected by the rot. Look at that fat ass knot.[nice rhyme]

AHHH thats pretty....

I saw this video awhile back and thought you might be interested since youre planning on going with a sealed room and running co2.
It cools the room and produces co2, supposedly. check it out-

This setup is bad ass! maybe down the road but the lack of room would be a problem. Id have nowhere to put the chiller and extra rez. And if I put it outside the shed you would hear it and it would be much less stealth. Im already worried about the ac kickin on and off. I did set it up sweet for sound issues. I put water fountains on either side of the shed. with all kinds of flowers and shit. My wife loves it and you cant hear anything as of now. We'll see about the ac. Good lookin out on that setup thx for the help +rep.

yea you definitely need a little added space with all the needed equip. I'm pretty sure you can just use a garden hose instead of a chiller and a rez but Im still a litttle fuzzy on all the details myself bongsmilie
I was even thinking of attempting making my own ice box and then no need for an a/c at all but my room's only seasonal and actually needs to be heated in the winter since my room has no insulation or anything so no need to really cool it down since I only run it in off-summer months.
I feel ya on the sound issues and great idea with the fountains! haha bet that really does cut out any noise your shed's making.

how much longer till harvest tho man? it was pretty nice up here today in the foothills and Im sure it was the same down in the bay so Im sure your shed will be heatin up some more ;-)

Yeah B you can run steady water drain to waste but I think I wont do it unless absolutely needed. And it has been so nice in the bay the last few days its great. I am dreading the heat more into summer. Hopefully I did enough planning with the new setup that I will be ready for it when it arrives. Blistering hot 105 days here and there wont be easy on the AC. Being sealed up should help. Also runnin the lights at night. Waitin for new pics to pop up for your grow lookin good over there dude. Im watchin.

The roots are looking good in all areas around here. All the seedlings have rooted through their new 3" cubes in the last couple days but this one is by fart the best. Im gonna watch each plant very closely taking notes on each while growing and take clones of all. The one I like best will be my mom. When they reach the 5th internode I will top once at the 2nd internode uncle bens topping method. These tops I will clone straight into 12/12 to see which of my seeds are male.

Tonight I started prep on some of the items I needed for the veg/mom box.

I had an old fish tank 150 watt matal halide so I decided to modify it to work for the mom area 2'wx1.5'dx4'h . I thought that it could be a little weak so I added supplimental 26 watt cfl's on either side of it. First off I ripped the reflector apart cause it wasn't gonna work very well for me. I made it much smaller and used 1/2 of the reflective material. I rewired it and put it all together in a more compact finished product. Heres shots of the process.

IMG_1857.jpgIMG_1858.jpg
IMG_1860.jpgIMG_1859.jpg

After this was done I started the next project. I needed a very small carbon scrubber. I found the ones for sale were far too expensive for what they were. So I read a few different diy threads and came up with a combination that worked for me. I dont feel like looking over my reciepts for the day to get an exact cost but I would guess 10 bucks and some random shit that I had here. My favorite item that I purchased today was the stocking caps "doo rags" at the dollar store. The guy on the package is fuckin hilarious.:-P Im very much the opposite of the "doo rag wearing hoodlums" you see around these days so the lady at the dollar store must have been wondering why I was getting these.HaHa
so the items needed were...
3 stocking caps [dollar store]
1 pen holder [walmart]
as much 4" dryer venting as you require [maybe just enough to attach to the fan]
activated carbon [walmart]
coors light can [plenty laying around here]
zip ties [had them]
IMG_1864.jpg

First I drilled the bottom of the pen holder
IMG_1865.jpg

Then I put one stocking cap around the outside of the pen holder stretching the elastic over the top and inside the cup. The next goes inside and is stretched over the top of the cup holding itself around the outside. Doesnt really matter as long as the carbon doesnt fall out. I then placed a beer can inside carfully as not to ruin the placement of the "doo rags".
IMG_1866.jpg
[this can is pushed all the way down to the bottom]
Ten I poured the carbon around the can packing it in and adding and packing and so on until it was full and tight. Then I poured the carbon over the can mounding it up as much as would fit into the pen holder.
IMG_1868.jpgIMG_1867.jpg

Then I took the last stocking cap and pulled it over the top to kinda hold everything and zip tied it in place. Finally I pulled the dryer ducting over the bottom of the cup as far up as I could so all the air would have to pass through the carbon. Later I will hook the other end to my 25 cfm ecoplus axial fan to cycle a small amount of air through my otherwise sealed room at lights out.
IMG_1871.jpg
Should work well:?:

Some of you might be wondering why vent a sealed room at all? Well Ive been wondering that for sure. And I really got no for sure answer on this. Some vent at night, some vent out constantly in a small amount during all times[even when c02 is running], some dont vent at all. Ive decided to vent with a small fan at night. I figure with the carbon filter Ill get 15-20 cfm out of my fan. Venting at night with a 320 cubic foot shed ill be changing the air over every 15-20 minutes or so. That should get enough oxygen in there for the roots. Plus I like the idea of getting the stale air out and fresh in for the next day. It just sounds right to me.

Heres some random shots of my old son-t 400 watt hps setup that will be put into the 2.5'wx1.5'dx4'h veg box. Also the Metal halide conversion bulb.
IMG_1861.jpgIMG_1863.jpg

Im getting exited about The new additions to the setup and having it purpetual.
also having the mom area so I can keep strains and phenos I like around for a while.
Its an addicting hobby and I love it!

So Ive been admiring the purple kush that has been going around [especially in raiderfans grow room] and thought Id pick up a clone. The best looking pk that Ive seen is the sr-71 blue sky cofee shop strain. Ill tell you though it isnt easy to get.

I went down to the club this week to pick it up and they had nothing, just a couple of random leftovers. The guy said to come back the next day and that the fellow that bought all the pk that day was in line at 530am. So the next day I arrived at 515am and was the 3rd person in line. I couldnt believe it! So finally at about 7am they let us in and we all sat down. They pulled out all the clones and no pk. Shiiit! I asked the guy there and he said none for the day. So I was waiting my turn and a gentleman came around the corner and handed me two pk. I was stoked! I asked for 1 green crack and went to pay and they only charged me for one of each. Although it was 32 bucks so its almost like I paid for 2 of each anyway. But I left there happy and would recommend blue sky coffee shop. Just get there early

Heres my temp. mom area in the closet with the new clones.
IMG_1899.jpg IMG_1900.jpg
They put six clones in one 4 inch cube over there and when I cut them apart I cut the roots off of one of the pk so I put cloning gel on it and thats why you see the glass for humidity.

So a few weeks back I explained how I was gonna build a box inside the shed for veg/moms/drying. But I have changed my mind as I dont think the dry area would be big enough. Now Im just gonna have one long area for veg and moms. My buddy had two 400 watt mh that he sold me for 75 bucks to add to the one I already had so now Ill have three 400's in a 1.5x7.5 foot area. So each 400 watter has a 2.5x1.5 foot area to cover. I think that should be plenty of light. It will be 4 foot high so it will give me a good jump start before going onto the table. Hopefully needing no further veg time. I bought the smallest hydro grow air cooled reflectors today so I can cool all the 400's just like my 1000's with outside air. That way my ac wont work as hard during the upcoming summer months. I'll pull co2 enriched air through the veg box with a seperate fan with passive holes from the flower area.

If anyone has recomendations for ways to do this better Id love you to share before I start building in the next couple weeks.

Last night I took all the wonder woman and hindu skunk plants out of my veg box in the closet and transfered them into 4 inch cubes. I also topped all wonder woman except for the runt and cloned them straight into 12/12 to sex. I labeled all clones with #'s to match the plants so I can keep things straight. Hopefully I can get 12 out of the w.w. to keep so I dont have to split the table with 1/2 hindu skunk, but I have them ready if need be. If I get 12 I will just keep 1 h.s. for a mom. For a temp setup I hung one 400 in the garage over my workbench to keep things rollin.

heres the w.w. transferred into 4 inch cubes b4 topping. I had to cut out the cubes to be able to slide the 3 inchers inside the 4's. What a pain in the ass!!!
IMG_1913.jpg

heres the w.w. in the garage topped and happy
IMG_1942.jpgIMG_1943.jpg

Well I cant wait to get all of the new shit up and runnin. It will be a lot to put together but worth the effort in the long run. Happy growing everyone. Peace.
