good fish with light fluffy batter at a place called Snoopy's here on padre island tex. don't care for the chips not nice wedge shaped ,like the fish and chips i would get in the bay area calif.

yeah the chips over hear are very thick n not like french fries, what sorta fish do you guys get in them shops carnt really member s.a that well but oz i think it was mainly red snapper, in the Uk its cod,plaice,haddock this is all just fish in batter nuffing fancy like lobster tt lol although i do like how ya mix it up m8 with ya stolen bikes, best lobsters, micro popcorn lmao

the fish they use is nice, it comes out with decent flakes ,i believe its whiting,that's just here at the one place i go

I don't think fish& chips is big here. You do see it around, but mostly fast food chains. It's usually quite greasy....is that the case in the UK?

yeah defo its greasy as fuck! its cheap working/lower class food but i love it lmao obvously so do lots of other brits but yeah no doubting it greasy.

Aussie generations have been bred on fish and chips but we call a fish n chip shop a 'wog bar' not very pc anymore..
And don't forget new zealanders with there 'fush and chups'..

Wog bars are still very lucrative, but there's no doubt they aren't doing as well as they used to with ppl becoming more conscious about wot they are eating

Why would you take that as a negative comment? It wasn't. I love fish personally. It's just that in the states.... there aren't any fish shops that are considered to be great. It's not a slight upon the UK at all. I expect your fish & chips tastes better than what we are served. That was my point.

u should to get more fresh fish into ur diet man, I think 3-4 times a week is reccomended..
Look at the mediterraneans, they have like no redmeat, eat only fish pasta and fresh veg and live the longest
