Im growing Blue Cheese right now. Its Blueberry crossed with Cheese. Im about 3 weeks in and so far what i have noticed is tha plant is very sensitive to nutes (thats casue the blueberry though), Has a strong odor even at this young stage, seems to be taking very well to lsting it, seems pretty forgiving and an easy plant as long as you just take it easy on the nutes. I have smoked cheese before and it is a great smoke but im looking forward to this blue cheese. Hope i helped you in some sort of way.

I just finished growing Home Grown Fantaseeds Cheese. 1 plant fem'd seed. The plant was very short, 26 inches after 5 week veg and 9 week flower, the other two strains with it grew to 5 foot. The yield was just over an ounce, but it was my first indoor grow in years so perhaps not the strains fault, although my other 2 strains grown in the exact same condition produced more. The high is good but not great. It is more indica than sativa, but you can still feel a bit of that sativa trippy effect. Oh and one last thing to consider, this plant produces a very strong order when growing and smoking. good luck

Originally i wanted to grow Green House Cheese, but im told The Big Bhudda is much better. I need something indica dominant as size is an issue. I know Big Bhudda is a good yielder so, so far i think im gna try that one. Thanks for all your help though.:bigjoint:

Here is the link to my grow journal i just posted some new pics of the plants after the res change and tying them down. https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/315178-big-buddah-blue-chesse-first.html
Hey llop , wealth of info ther thanks for ur input:bigjoint: Im gna be growin BB Cheese from seed in soil. just outta curiosity what are the internal dimensions of "the mothership" :D. also when i was reading your journal i notice u not to sure on changing water in ur hydro system. Two simple rules : Never leave it longer than 2 weeks and get an EC meter to check the salt build up in the water. Im not sure on what ec levels are perfect for hydro systems but should be easy enough to look up. All The Best :peace:

If you do it well it's great, if you don't it's mediocre.

Oh I Plan On Doing it very well. Im Putting 2 plants under 23000 Lumens of blue spectrum light, changing to red for flowering stage. Using Canna Light Mix Soil and Canna Vega+Flores+ Boost I have excellent ventilation odour and temperature control. Does that count as doing it well ? :bigjoint:

how many cfls make up that 23,000 lumens?

Too Much heat, small area to grow in so iv gta make some compramise my extraction system isnt powerful enough to cool a HID Down :(

if hid is putting out more light per watt, then less energy is being wasted on heat, you'd be surprised at the comparison between 2 x200w cfl and 1 400 hid.

I Know a HID would be much better but also i cant afford the HID either :( my cfl's will only cost £80 alltogether. but on my next grow 100% HID im on ur side buddy :bigjoint:

ok, so uv disarmed me on cost :-P Do you know what the difference in heat output is for a Metal Halide as opposed to a cfl ?
I once knew a guy that had a 250w cfl, he had it in a small cupboard, with no ventilation, temps still went up to 35, theres not that much difference to be honest.

If you remember science class and the energy trasnference, kinetic energy = x so heat energy = y.

If a 400w is putting out more light energy for the 400w's than cfl's, then cfls can't trasnfer this energy to anywhere else apart from heat. It all depends on your circumstances though, i'm sure you will find that if a 400w is too hot for you then 2 x 200w cfls will probably be worse.
