Ok 1st of all I unpackaged my Pollinator, I left it sitting in its poly base to reduce vibrations against my wooden table. I then connected her up to the mains (un-switched for now), then my mate and I filled up the inside of the unit with enough water to just past the half way point! and added 2 whole bags of ASDA's pre bagged ice. bringing the water level a cm below the top surgested fill level, In the pack you get a trim bag, its humbug shaped with a zip and made of a curtain kind of mesh netting, you can pretty much use as much leaf/bud/trim etc as you like as long as it has room to move in the bag, same sort of effect as a PG Tips Pyramid T-bag only larger
I used 2.5 oZ of leaf/pop-corn buds and trim, since this is all the left over from the newly harvested top section of my Jack Herer lady. this pic was taken just before my 2nd extract, I got 2 good runs with this machine today, the left over wet leaf is already for compost now, or even scrap since I only use Hydro, and have no need for compost, its ok to put outside in the bin since the smell and thc has been removed in the ice extraction I will just bury mine to be on the safe side
anyhow after the bag has been "washed" I squeezed out the remaining crystal juice from the bag and drained the liquid through its attached supplied hose into a fermentation 5gallon container, but 1st I placed 8 different grade Micron bubble bags, and poured the green gold through until the last bag was sitting just under the water, you put the bags in, in order of size so smallest Microm (mc) screen goes in 1st then the next size etc... until the last bag (largest MC bag) goes in last, stacked kinda like a russian doll, Then you kinda shuffle the bags and slowly lift them one at a time out of the water, as the water drains slowly a fine silt of THC (trichs) are left you scrap each bags layer up with a fine edged spoon, scraping the silt off with a plate underneath inside the inside-out bag and deposit it on a cardboard sheet ( the kind crisp boxes are made out of ) to dry, if you gain larger ammounts of this "silt" the compound is to be pushed through a sive to dry out the Hash more evenly and quicker, after it drys you can make your hash with your preffered method, I just wrap it in clingfilm and put it away in a draw till I need it! the out side goes a bit shiny due to sweating and there you have it 8 different sizes of different grade Hash ranging from crap to super hardcore green to sandy brown, There are many methods of extracting this is just one! who know as I go on I may show another method to but this is my preferred way! and if you decide to sample your Hash place it in a bong or pipe torch it and toke, you'll notice it bubbles this is a sign that the Hash is very pure and of good quality, and after you ve hit it the Hash only leaves a silverish burn mark on the gauze and no ash...remarkable and the highs are very strong and last a good few hours VERY VERY NICE!!! - STELTHY
I'll check out the LED vids but am really looking forward to a 400hps setup now, so thats going to be a cab re-build in its self
