so i am going to be growing some auto ak47 outdoors starting in about a week and a half. i got a 10 pack of seeds and i'm thinking of keeping a female seperate and pollenating her for some seeds for later. hopefully i'll get at least 6 successful females but who knows? anyone have any idea what the average number of fems in a normal 10 pack of the Lowlife auto ak47's is? i did some scouting in the woods next to the house today. i found a good spot with great sunlight all day and blackberry bushes all around to keep the line of sight out of it. i'm going to use compost and manure but no specific nutes. i'm going to clear and prep the site tomorrow and hopefully get the seeds in a week. i'll post pics of the grow site tomorrow hopefully!

so i tried to get the land cleared out yesterday but didn't have a chance. the temps here have been brutal below freezing at night and sub 50's during the day. hopefully by early-mid april it will warm up significantly! i've decided i'm going to start indoors for a while until they start to smell them i'm going to transplant outdoors as i want to give the weather time to turn and also our days a little longer to get the sun to the plants. up here we regularly get 16 hrs of usable light a day i don't know how much of that is effective for the plants but the spot i found is clear from the east south to the west so it will continue to get direct light from sun up til it goes down behind the treeline! thinking about putting on some warm clothes and headed out there now to prep the area.

i got my seeds from Dr. Chronic. they shipped on tuesday or wednesday so i'm hoping to have them germinated by next sunday and plat them monday. the weather the last 2 days has been shit. Hail today the size of BB's so i'm definatly starting them indoors at least until they start to smell. i haven't had a chance to even go out to my spot in 2 days. luckily i have a while before i get my seeds and they're ready for outdoors planting. i went to the store to find a good light the other day but nothing worth getting at Lowes. there is a grow shop near me so i might check that out or just get a florescent bulg for a desk lamp and use that. i found an old mini-fridge i'd tried to make a kegerator out and drilled thru the cooling coil accidentaly so i may just use that as a place to grow indoors for a little while. it will keep the smell in and already has big holes drilled in for both airflow and wires for lighting. i may be able to do 1 or 2 plants totaly indoors if i get a charcoal filter for the ventilation system!

so on a complete whim i decided to check the mailbox and guess what i got in? that was way faster than expected Dr. Chronic has done me well. I have all 10 seeds soaking in some warm water right now while i run a couple errands then i'll put them in paper towels and hopefully plant them sunday or monday! i'm going now to get starter pots and some soil and maybe some organic nutes to mix in with the soil for the rooting. wish me luck because the fun has now begun!

i put tin foil up on the wall as well as planted a 4th seed. i think 5 and 6 will be ready tonight and the last 3 tomorrow morning. i also put a fan in there to get some air flow.

NOOOO NOOOO!!! take away the tin foil its bad!! it doesnt reflect light/heat , it absorbs it and IT could also burn ur plants , replace it with mylar ASAP!

Xnuke, you're fine with having tin foil if it's just temporary, if not i would recomend mylar. Also, when the seeds break the soil I would put the lights a lot closer thatn they are now, like 2-3 inches from seedlings.

Thanks cloudnine! I am only keeping them in the closet for about 2 weeks so I figured if I kept them moist I'd be ok
