its went from $0.12 kwh (0-100% = baseline usage) to $0.38 kwh (300-400%) just by the addition of this ballast and blower.

because of the 800 or so extra watts, it makes the bill jump up to an average of $350/month... from $153 last year.

wow. we're im at its .10 kwh. i havent hooked up my 600watter yet, but i did this formula to figure out the cost, and i got 35-40 extra bucks a month during its 18hr stage.

but thats an awful jump...if other people have experienced the same...then please do tell....

it is only on for 12 on / 12 off. the blower and the light are on simultaneously

i used to use a magnetic 250 and it didnt scratch my bill but i added the 600w an it only went up 25 bucks on its 18hr stage so id say something is up

kinda sucks, gotta pay $400 every harvest for electricity alone. i guess 4 $100 ounces of medication is better than having to burn the gas/money going to dispensary

you should leave the blower on all 24 hours to keep the stale air moving out and fresh coming in. its just as important at night.
also definately look into this, ill bet thats 2 bills combined.

I would kill the fan. I will only run it until the room cool down a bit and let the heat rises for a bit. Could be someone else stealing your electricity?

that sounds like a good idea, but if you look at my set up, the blower pulls air in directly from the rear left side, and pushes it through the hood and directly straight out. the blower is minimally disturbing the air inside.

cant kill the fan or the temps reach >100 with in and hour or two. its too much of a pain to figure out the when to turn the blower on.off. temps generally 55-75 '+/-' 3 degrees with the blower being on only when the light is.

yea i know that. its cuz california electrical is fucked up and retarded "-idiocracy". here they go by your last year's bill and they create a number with that and call that 100%, and if you use 200% of what you used the previous year, the tier goes up to 300% and the percentage that you use equals your current price @ that percentage.

sorry i tend to ramble.
