lol i was only jokin with ya, but i was mostly talkin to the other peeps, will be lookin forward to the next update, this thread had ALOT of good infoIt is a grow.......
I will have a diagram posted of the light positioning idea. I am just looking for input, and this grow really hasn't popped off. The plants are getting nice and big, and I am very happy with their growth..... They have doubled in size since going under the MH, but for now this grow is gonna be slow. I am hoping the switch will get flipped by the 18th of Decemeber, but I certainly want to give these girls the chance to get big.........
Fed with water yesterday, a little snowstorm ultra, and sweet grape. Tommorrow they get fed with full strength veg nutes.
Thank you for all your input, more pics and diagrams up today.......
I like this setup and diagrams. I also like those round light movers. That would be lots of work, and money. I am trying to limit my budget, as I have a tendency to spend too much in this department..here hope these might help you get an idea what I mean... Notice the light movers path is outside of where the plant pots are spaced approximately 16-18 inches laterally from plant pot center, that the 400W are angled for light direction facing into the circle at a perfect 45 degree angle for penetration and more direct lumens on PAR...... the plant in the center is Topped/Fimmed and supercropped out to the side rather than growing completely vertically blocking all the light from reaching the outer ring (in other words the center plant needs to be approximately 40% of the height of the outer ring, proportionally, throughout the entire grow, making the outer plants 2 1/2 ft tall, 18-24 inches in diameter, going into flower, while the center plant would be 1 ft tall, 24-30 inches in diameter, going into flower... in order to accomplish this and get the desired effect, you would want to SCROG the center plant using netting, to hold its main side branches down
And this is all assuming the room allows for 8x8x8
Definitely a fan in the center blowing directly up. I have drawn another diagram which hopefully will answer a lot of questions. Still looking for input of course. Its just my idea of convenience and what I have.....The plant in the center Might interfere with cooling once they thicken up, other than that the plan is good.
The center is where a fan should be pointing up at the bulb, fairly strong fan too. But if you can fit it and a fan and not block too much airflow ok then. You'll want an oscillating fan or two in there somewhere also.
Definitely feelin ya, its amazing how cool a bare bulb can stay with fan blowing directly up........ I have been doing some experiments........yea if you're going to go circle, fan in the center........
Fan would be in center ABOVE the HPS, sucking air through and exhausting (partially for air pressure reasons ), the schematic is based on a cool tube being used with the HPS to contain its heat, cool air intake should always come in low to the ground, and then be circulated by a fan, the Exhaust coming off the HPS will pull air from the cool air intake into the center of the room and up, and a couple oscillating fans just at and above canopy height will help pull air up through the plants and recirculate it around. The plant in the center Might interfere with cooling once they thicken up, other than that the plan is good.

I would put the mh's on top, keep the verticle in the middle and rund 4 t-8's around the outsides unless you wanted to run the mh's around all 4 sides. Just my two cents.New Diagram. Tell me what you think. The 1000w will be vertical,
ANy other ideas of positioning the supplementary lighting?

The schematics I posted were done in like 5 minutes, just rough stuff so WB would get the idea of what I was saying...... I may have just gotten some space cleared up to get something like this going....... just to try it...... maybe in February or March?
