The shot you like so much is actually of the Himalayan Gold, which is from Green House Seeds, so you could definitely try that.

As for the clone only strain, I have smoked most if not all of them, and the only really uniquely potent and tasty is "The OG Kush," lucky you there are seeds available for that. I did have a chance to try some OG from beans recently and I must admit I wasn't able to tell the difference.

I hate to see you banging your head on the wall. Trust me bro, out of all the clone only OG is the one you want to get your hands on and there are beans for that. SO PROBLEM FIXED.

Cheers Don. It would be terrific to see what you could do with the Gold, I am sure you could push it way harder than me.

This run it is 4 HG and 2 OG. Next run I will do 5 OG and 1 HG just to keep it alive. The run after that will be 3 BD, 2 OG and 1 Gold. I am very happy to not ever have to purchase any medicine again. All this grow if going to be for me, so I think I will have plenty for the next year and won't be suffering from too much back pain.

Yeah man I wish there was a way. I really hope can visit the Dutch land before bud is outlawed for non citizens.

The OG nugs aren't that big, but they are insanely frosty, all around the leaves, top and bottom, bud portion of the stem is also encrusted with trichromes.

So far I really like how the individual OG buds but I wish the over all plant structure was at least a bit similar to HG, the OG would require a decent amount of experience to get a good yield out of it.

I have a 125 Watt CFL @ 6500K. I am thinking about adding this on the OG. I think with the more Blue It might get even more frosty, anymore and the bud won't be visible.

dont sell yourself short man your grow is looking top notch man. yeah i know what you mean it would be grand to see the og putting out like the hg, sounds like the age old quantity vs quality trade off.

im sure you'd rather half the amount of bud if its going to have the medicinal qualities your after

Thanks Don. So far I have no clue how potent HG is going to be, if the OG turns out to be way more potent that HG then I will probably drop the HG and just run the OG.

But yes you are very correct, I would rather have more potent medicine even with lower yield. More potency would mean a smaller dose for pain relief, making it healthier in the long run compared to the non potent stuff.

To be very frank Don I really fancy how the HG is growing. It does has crystals just not as much as the OG. I am just really hoping it turns out to be potent.

most importantly, you need to make sure you harvest at the right time. sorry if you already know bout milky n cloudy/ amber crystals but for couchlock/ pain relief

Thanks Don, again you are correct, I am aiming for ~60-75 amber.

Lol just finished the 3 week, haven't even considered testing yet. I will most likey test a bit of gold during the 6-7 week mark.

have my fingers crossed for the gold. I am really curious to see how long the HG takes to finish. I have no idea, and since my Himalayan Gold came from regular beans 7-8 years ago, its kinda different from the current fem only Himalayan Gold from GHS.

I think I mentioned in this thread before that I talk to someone over the forums and this guy had a HG pheno that would finish in 5 weeks. I mean damn that is fast.

I am not sure how good the testers will be without a flush. There is no way to flush a branch eh?

wow 5 weeks is fast ive heard some strains fin at 6 but 5 fully mature is as fast as ive heard. thats faster than most auto flowering varieties

as for flushing just a branch the only way i know is to water cure for a week, your bud will be smaller when its said and done but it will be flushed and cured! its a crazy technique mind you

For a small tester nug at least for the gold, since there is a lot of it, i will probably try this method.

yeah i did it with a branch and it works fine i wouldnt do it with a full crop as it does reduce the bud size and turn it a bit darker colour but it depends how you look at it if your reducing the size of the bud but not the thc content your dope is actually getting stronger by volume. haha

I just finished doing some research on water curing. I will give it a shot for a very small amount in a few weeks and let you know.

If it keeps the same amount of trichromes, then I wouldn't mind doing it to a larger portion of the crop but the decrease in smell and taste doesn't sit well with me, because I find the smell of cannabis very soothing.

Maybe just do a mini flush, harvest a branch or two, then hit them back up with the feed again.

Thanks for your input snow. The water curing I am just gonna try with a tiny nug or two to see how it turns out. As noted in the Water cure thread, the no smell situation can be a real positive in certain situations.

What do you suggest for a mini flush, 0 EC, pH 5.5, RO, for 3 days? Does that sound right or will the plant be flushed to a point where it won't pick up again.
