are my young clones on a downhill run? (pics)

hello all. i am a medical marijuana patient and i got 4 young clones from a friend to grow on my own instead of going the route of having a caregiver.

they are white widow.

they are grown under six 23w cfl's and two 42w cfl's.

rooted in cubes and transplanted to these cups into Pro Mix with microorganisms. He said he believes Pro Mix w/mycorise is the type, but wasn't 100% sure.

when they were given to me they had some white edges on a couple leaves and had dry soil and had to sit out for about 2 and a half hours until i arrived home. i put them in my box and they sat for a couple hours under light the way they were, until i noticed they were drooping. i watered them with FOX FARM veg nute at 50% (maybe a little over).

since then, they seem to be drooping more, and have a couple brown crispy tips.

they don't seem to be overwatered. i checked them with a moisture gauge and they read (on a scale of 1 - 4) between 3 and 4 at bottom of cup, between 1 and 2 at top. the temp is a little low at 65 - 67 degrees. trying to figure out how to raise it to mid 70's. cant afford to go buy a heat pad. humidity is also a little low. around 30 - 35. i will start misting a few times a day to fix that.

i have them on a 24 hour light schedule. he starts them on 24 then switches to 18/6 after 2 weeks. they are 3 and a half weeks old. so they have been on an 18/6 for a week and back on a 24 for a few days. could that be a problem?

in the pics the light doesn't look very intense because they are lifted all the way up to allow access...the (homemade) hood makes it hard to get to the plants.

i hope they aren't too far gone. i have never grown from clone before and i need them so bad. the scoliosis in my back causes me so much pain and because of the amount of pain meds i was prescribed after a major hand surgery i had, the doctors will not help me with my constant back pain. i really hope someone can help. i need it severely. if you need any other info to help out, let me know.

I would suggest you to transplant them in bigger pots. They could be root bound as well.

3 weeks from a clone that size would give you a good size plant with at least 5 branches that look like 1 of those clones lol.. i would flush with phed water because 50% strength is too high.. fox farms is very concentrated..

then i would transplant into at least 3 gal pots.. and feed them 1/4 strength nutes for about a week and see how that goes.

def. flush with phed (5.6-6.3) water and transplant to their permanent pots. and please don't do anything under 3 gal. for the sake of your poor clones.. you can water with the phed water for a few days until they start looking healthy and hungry then start feeding them 1/4 strength nutes and work your way up SLOWLY!

i transplanted them into 3 gallon buckets into a coconut based soilless mix called Metro-Mix.

No nutrients in the soilless mix and watered with water plus 2/3 strength GreenFuse growth stimulator and no nutrients. Hope they need to be flushed and im not just keeping them from food they need.

None of them seemed to be root bound, but the roots had all grown to the cup and were headed down, so i do believe they had out grown the cups. though the guy i got them from says he keeps them in the cups for 6 weeks then transplants to 5 gallon buckets and has success...

I hope this was best for these little girls. i need them so bad. my scoliosis always has me in pain.

any more input would be great.

you did the right thing. 6 weeks in a cup is too long. it usually takes 2 weeks to root and an extra 2 weeks would give good root system for transplant. now just make sure you dont overwater, and go easy on the nutes when you start them back up.

Yeah, you did the right thing by transplanting your plants. 6 weeks is def too long in a cup. If the guy that told you that he had success which was probably daily watering to prevent the roots to grow quicker, however its better to have a good root system. A good root system is the fundamental to a good strong growth.

I am a medical patient as well in southern cali. I picked up the clones and put them straight in the 3 gallon pots and they are doing beautifully so far heh. Good luck.:weed:

they are still drooping. i dont know what to do to bring them back. it is somewhat chilly in my basement but the temp in the box is anywhere from 63 - 67 degrees, which is within optimal range (60-85, which is based on everything i have read) humidity is in upper 30s-50%, depending on how long it has been since i last misted them.

i can't lose these girls. i am a medical patient and can't afford to buy my medication, and if i lose them, i know he won't give me anymore clones.

anymore advice?
