thanks man i appreciate the feedback... unfortunately none of the lowes by me sells it any other suggestions?i use kellogs outdoor patio plus, has earthworm castings and a bunch of guano, bat and seabird. i also mix sand in.
purchased at lowes. works good and pest free guarantee.... guess gnats arent considered pests....lol
look in the local yellow pages for a nursery or garden supply store. most towns large and small will have one or the other. look for a soil called black gold. its very common, inexpensive and very good soil that has continued to be bug free for me for the past few years that ive used it. if they dont have black gold grab whatever mid range soil they have. the problem that alot of people seem to run into buying the cheaper soils that lowes or home depot carries are the fungas gnats that always seem to come with their soilive been looking into foxfarms but i cant find it at any store only online. is there any type of soil i can get from home depot or walmart that would work?
I use Scott's Potting Soil from Home Depot, have had no problems with it thus far.and by nasty stuff i mean chemical fertilizers, not just bugs.
does home depot carry black gold? its great stuff been using it for awhile now, but i get it from a garden supply. im sure home depot would have a better price..Black gold home Depot
i use scotts gardening soil... it's working like a charm... has very light plant food, didn't burn the seedlings... AND ITS like 2.50 for 1.5 square feet....I use Scott's Potting Soil from Home Depot, have had no problems with it thus far.
