came across this post. this is one of my all time favorites as well as scarface is my favorite. a lot of new hip hop has no message or direction ie: crank dat by souljah boy. who is gonna remember this song in 2 months.

That's how pop music has worked since i can remember. i hate it, and for a while that was the reason that i never listened to music, until i realized that there's a lot more than pop.

yeah i have been listening to hip hop for 20 years now. back in the day i started listening to kurtis blow, utfo, roxanne chante. i believe hip hop is in the saddest state its ever been right now. i like some other types of music too. just a lot of the people now days only know who hurricane chris is " a bay bay" lmfao.
