yes, and the moon is made of cheese. tell me this han, if there already is a shortage of doc's and nurses in the US how is introducing a program that "squeezes" (obamas words not mine) the profits out of doc's and nurses gonna make more of them? make a doc go to school for 15 years, go into debt up to his ass, work 80 hours a week, and tell them they will only make 40k a year.....thats gonna make for increased better healthcare? yep, the pink elephants are here now to take me away....This is not a socialized health care system. It is one insurance plan that will cover the american citizens that are not covered right now. And when people are able to go to the doctor, that means earlier diagnosis and easier surgeries
LOL it always makes me laugh when ppl from the US talk about what our health care is like here. I guess none of you guys have seen Mike Moore's "Sicko"? all about US, Canada and Englands health care system and how it works?if you think healthcare is expensive now, wait till its free. the only reason they are going after healthcare is because its the only business in the country that is still making money. its marxism 101. you guys bitch all you want but history doesnt lie......unless of course you dont know any. this is the same argument that has been around since....forever. do a little reading about it around the early 1930's. its the same arguments now.

Cool....., I'll Take Itit's a rock. keeps it from blowing away.
You are jumping around again. He did say squeeze, but you are putting in the doctor and nurses pay. The squeeze comes from waste in the adminstrational expenses. Waste in not knowing their drugs as well as they should, or not refering the medication part to the staff pharmacists who would make much better choices on what they should be on.yes, and the moon is made of cheese. tell me this han, if there already is a shortage of doc's and nurses in the US how is introducing a program that "squeezes" (obamas words not mine) the profits out of doc's and nurses gonna make more of them? make a doc go to school for 15 years, go into debt up to his ass, work 80 hours a week, and tell them they will only make 40k a year.....thats gonna make for increased better healthcare? yep, the pink elephants are here now to take me away....

Yup I think you have hit the nail on the head here lol the fox's are in your hen house again and no one is saying anything???? Not sure why you guys are fighting about your chance to get FREE health care and have ppl step in and do the right thing?? Maybe I am sounding like an asshole here but I'm not trying too but you have been lied to and you need to open your eyes to some truth here. That is all I will say on subject Now going to smoke s joint and listen to Kottonmouth Kings peace out Headband707You are jumping around again. Also all the tests that are wasted to drive up the insurance bill (and yes this does happen), centralizing the database I heard a hospital administrator talk about would save his one hospital about $100k a year.
Then add in that you remove all the excess costs in the emergency room visits of the poor trying to get over a cold and you are talking serious savings.
Then people that can afford to have insurance now have to pay for it, or the 2.5% tax to not have it means that there is more money in the system.
Oh and not to mention bankruptcy costs savings from the people that get sick and lose everything.
There is lots of areas to 'squeeze' costs that have nothing to salaries. That is another injection that is not reality, just like the pink elephant.
Oh and there are plenty of Doctors to cover everyone. I posted this a while back and did the math with some nice charts and links to medical surveys to support it. The only reason there are not more general MD's now is that specialization it the shit. Instead of making $200,000 a year as a general practicioner, they pull in $400,000+ with a few more years tacked onto the end. And with everyone losing their insurance general MD's have a harder time keeping their clients.
Nobody has said that you need to be mother theresa. The statists continue making the claim that there are 47 million people in the U.S. who have no medical insurance. So what? I could care less who has insurance and who doesn't.
Those numbers are disputed, but thats fine lets roll with them, because it doesn't matter.Out of the 47 million uninsured, 12 million are in the country illegally. I don't want to pay for them. Another 15 million are young people who are placing themselves at risk because they think they are bullet proof. I don't want to pay for their stupidity. There are millions more who could afford health insurance, but opt for a nicer car instead. I don't want to pay for their stupidity and their penchant for keep up with the Joneses either.
No that is what you are debating. The side that is for the insurance program is arguing that the system should be fixed so that people don't get tossed out.Now then, that leave a few million who are actually UNINSURABLE due to factors beyond their control. These are the people we should be concerned with, feel compassion for ... and do something about. There just is no point in abolishing a system that MOST Americans are happy with in order to placate the few who are actually in need. Let's try a free market approach instead.
The health care debate isn't about health care at all. Its about more government control over our lives, our liberty and our fortunes.

I think your last sentence in the statement above is a great example of what is wrong with our country. You have to completely lack a social conscience to not give a shit about who receives and does not receive health care.

I have bad news for you, you already do pay for illegal aliens health care, and that also includes dental. As to my response to the rest of this paragraph, see above response.
I take it that you never experienced adolescence or young adulthood?

You are correct in saying that it isnt about health care, but very wrong in thinking this is about individuals civil liberties. This about protecting current levels of economic regulation in the health and pharmaceutical industries so they can maintain their exuberant profit margins. Keep on fighting to protect big bussiness and assisting in further widening our economic gap.

Well then, how about attending school part time and working full time? Why should your fellow citizens subsidize your desire to attend college full time when you can't afford it?Working your way through college full time, working Pt, and to be able to live and eat and afford health care is unrealistic.
