i understand the small units remove them, i have one.

but there are R/o treatment plants and i heard they add chloramine to the water, b4 it gets pumped out to the cities
Probably. I think the r/o water you get out of the machines in grocery stores filters most of it out though. The home r/o filters get most of it out as well.

You're thinking of regular tap water. I don't know of any municipal water system that pumps RO water to end users.

Shit, I wish my tap water was RO. Right now it comes out at a pH of 7+ and 500 PPM. I've been using a RO unit for over a year now.

Yeah mine sucks too. I've been buying r/o water from the grocery store. I need to invest in one for home.

It's the best thing you can do, trust me. I used to haul my five gallon jugs to the water store for years and now that's a distant memory. Check ebay for relatively cheap RO units.
