Thermal imaging was developed for search and rescue operations to detect human body heat and aid in recovery.

It is also used by utility companies, manufacturers, home energy raters, the military, as well as by those in the medical and veterinary fields.

You are seriously delusional if you believe that when someone knows more about something than you (which appears to be everyone) they are out to get you.

i heard that this whole helicopter thing was unconstitutional. My friend said he researched it. But then again that might just be where i live. Cause I was worried about that for the longest time. But idk. maybe your in the clear either way.

It may or may not be able to be used to get a warrant, depending on the area in which you live, but let's think it through clearly. They use the heli FLIR and then if they find something, they just mark the house down and figure another way in, without ever mentioning the FLIR "officially". It's an easy end around......

You are seriously misinformed my friend. I used to be a firefighter and we used thermal imaging technology all the time. Believe me when I say to you that it has serious limitations. For starters, FLIR systems cannot see through glass because the heat signature is almost completely reflected off of it. Also there has to be enough of a variation between what is being looked at and the ambient air temp. Proper insulation will go a long way in stopping most of the heat coming from a grow room. And let's remember even with all of this technology the cops still can't see through walls. A room with an 1800 watt space heater gives off almost as much heat as 2 1000 watt hps lights, so they have almost no way to know if they are kicking down a door with a space heater on the other side or someone who is a hobby grower of tomatoes and peppers. The 5-0 wants us all to think they can see what you are doing in the privacy of your home but trust me on this...They can't!!! They may use infrared flyovers in order to build a case to secure a warrant but they won't use it as sole evidence against you. Just be careful and don't be an idiot and tell all you friends about your grow and you should be fine.

Okay, I found this little item in one of my Agricultural catalogs. It was designed for greenhouse use but I think you indoor growers might truly benefit from being able to see for yourself whether you have hot spots outside on your outer room grow walls.

It's a 100 bucks, but might give you peace of mind knowing you have no signs of extreme heat, OR, that you DO have a problem and can remedy and recheck it till you are cooler.

Okay, I found this little item in one of my Agricultural catalogs. It was designed for greenhouse use but I think you indoor growers might truly benefit from being able to see for yourself whether you have hot spots outside on your outer room grow walls.

It's a 100 bucks, but might give you peace of mind knowing you have no signs of extreme heat, OR, that you DO have a problem and can remedy and recheck it till you are cooler.

Hi well i've asked few questions before hopefully this one will get answered can police see heat through infrared with a grow room set up with mylar all around and fans with ducting to and a squirrel cage fan

This probably has been said from the video with the cop but for your exhaust have it run through the dryer vent because they look for heat being expelled from the house. Just make sure everything in your set up can be passed off as something else and your golden.

Yes, this gives the exact temperature so it would be the same as what the fuzz detect. Anything made for the legal commercial greenhouse business will be very accurate, alot of money depends on it.

A specialized type of Mylar that exhibits the same properties as the 2mm thick mylar, but in addition to reflecting approximately 92-97% of the light, it also is 90% infrared proof, making your grow room all but invisible to IR scanning. This can also be attached in the same manner as Foylon or Mylar, and the same caution should be used to avoid creating hotspots in your room.

If your grow room is insulated and you are not venting to the outside this is unnecessary.
