i agree with someone here.... check craigslist, but get a portable a/c instead of a window a/c.... they got wheels, and already have a nice exhaust hole/duct you can lead out of your tent to blow the heat generated frm the cmpressor.... i just looked and found one for 50 bucks.... shop around my man... i had one about a year ago for my living room and they are the shit, i just put the exaust duct out the window...

cheer for the advice but there isn't a big following of craig's list over here in the uk.

i saw, try using 4 bottles instead of 5, leave more room for airflow, you are not trying to cleanse the air, as with the carbon scrubber, and instead of using 2 litre bottles of water, use smaller bottles.... idk... my reasoning is the same as when I used to play sports and my knee got banged up.... when I used larger icecubes it wasn't as effective at relieving the pain as when I crushed the same ice cubes and put it on my knee, it "wrapped around" better... also for one or two of the smaller water bottles filler up with half salt water, half ice... the bottle itself will get colder, kinda like using ice+salt water to cool down your beers at a hot day at the beach.....

its deffiantely not effecient, it shite really, had it going today.
Way to take the bull by the horns, well done. You may need to restrict the airflow through it a bit. You do not have much thermomass in such a small case. The air is probaly exchanging a bit fast for it to actually cool before exiting. Maybe get yourself a cheap styrofoam cooler or maybe someone has a old cooler you can bum. You are on the right track. Slower flow and a bit bigger cooling chamber and I bet you will be good to go in a 1.2x1.2 space. By the way, 1.2 meters or 1.2 feet?

Also you will want to use just frozen water bottles. Having an open body of water with air moving past it will only raise the humidity of your room. Or maybe you need to raise and can kill 2 birds with one stoner!

Good enginering. I like people who think out of the box, and use what they have. I give you props for problem solving, and for actually going through with your idea. Building shit is just plain fun. Especially if it actually works.
cosign....that straight up ingenuity and things like this is always welcomed +rep:clap:
