TBT is far more educated in politics than you have proven your self to be

if education is brainwashing... does that make you an idiot cause you dont know half of the stuff your talking about?

ill leave you to decide

oh, and i love how since he is standing up for what our government and our country is SUPPOSED to be, he is brainwashed

thats another ironic point you have made
he has some good points, our liberties have been breached and unfortuinately he seems to want to protect the people responsible for breaching them. The patriot act was the biggest slap in the face to our founding fathers that i can imagine. so yes, i wanted something different. Obama is a man and makes mistakes. like every president we have had or will have. Simply throwing out everything he says is not helping anyone.

BTW irony is inherent...get used to it:fire:

Actually I do believe that I referred to the unPatriot act as just that, and the unPatriot Act II was just that, unpatriotic acts. There is no desire to defend the Republicans. McCain wasn't the best pick, he was just better than Obama, imo, but even he had flaws, like his Campaign Finance Reform which took away the ability of people to utilize free speech.

No matter what major party wins the slide of America towards a Fascist/Socialist Tyranny continues...

Perhaps both are equally guilty of pretending to support what they give the impression of supporting.

The Republicans don't support economic freedom any more than the Democrats support personal freedom. Both parties want to enslave this country under a byzantine system of bureaucracy.

uhh really? i could give a fucking what tbt thinks of me

but when some one posts things that really either dont make sense, have nothing to do with anything, or are hardly educated on the subject

and then that person turns around and calls some one that knows something brainwashed?

thats pretty stupid

No need to apologize, I'm not aware of you having done anything that requires apology.

But if you insist, my own apologies if I insulted you. I find that I am a bit of an asshole when it comes to discussing politics.

Hannimal will surely attest to that.

lol if I new how to make the nodding emoticon I would.

But I think that as much as we get fired up at each other there is respect on both sides. Maybe not, But even still I am willing to admit that I respect TbT.

basically FUCK YOU on the snide comments CJ! you tell me to go back to school and then act like school is a detriment FUCK YOU!!! BTW there is no way those percentages are correct on mammograms, and the amount of UNNECESSARY testing has been linked with...you guessed it...CANCER. unnecessary testing procedures are one of the ways BIG MED bilks the current system out of HUGE chunks of $$$.

if you want to insult people you are never going get them to see your side. RIU is based on free speech, correct? but the next time you just start insulting people for their views, i'm going to start reporting to to the admin, you know it's just trolling in another guise. so please lay off the calling people idiots, morons, or anything else just because they don't agree with you. You PAID for elite status...it would be great if you lived up to the label.

Fletch: The best part of this angry message was the part where he says RIU is based on free speech lol RIU is anything but based on free speech or expression. You will get ban, cited and comments removed if they dont fit approval soo no the site isnt based on free speech or expression....Then the next good part is where he threatens to do what the new bitches on the sites do and report they got thier feelings hurt by that free speech he just campaigned for lol...and lastly not everyone bought elite membership you can earn it you know...I love when people get all up in arms about provide facts or back with proof then when you do the typical democrates response is thats its wrong.made up, or the boogeyman Fox went out made false numbers forced obama to hold a tv conference then made him give a speech where all the info came from just so they could write a quote.. lol

If I didn't have some respect for you I wouldn't be trying to insult you so often. We both seem to end up countering each other's points and ending up resorting to insults, because we are too stubborn to concede. Of course, I see nothing wrong with that. Conflict of opinion on what should be more important, personal liberty or trying to reduce the costs of personal liberty.

Of course, I do have to admit that my solutions could potentially result in a lot of people being killed if private charity doesn't kick in to help them, but I don't believe that wouldn't be the case. I really doubt that there are people on either side of the political aisle that could sit idly by while their neighbors died. Well, except maybe the people in Congress. Power does shit to their minds...

No one is throwing out everything Obama says. But let's keep it real...on all sides. America has the premier health care system in the world. You want to stay alive... you go to the USA. The vast majority of Americans like things just the way they are. Can the health care system be improved? You bet it can but scrapping it altogether is NOT the answer.

Obama knows next to nothing when it comes to business.
Obama knows next to nothing when it comes to foreign policy.

He has no experience except at being a politician. Instead of treading lightly and learning the ropes, Obama starts pushing all the economic crisis buttons while at the same time increasing the NONPRODUCTIVE sector of the country (GOVT.) spending and employment ranks.

Obama has been going the wrong way economically since he started. That is my biggest beef with him.

Other than the fantastically difficult task of picking up the phone and releasing his long form BC, and/or college admissions. It's just too much for him...

PS... those breast cancer numbers were spot on. Want to stay alive? USA

Just don't get born here since the infant mortality rate is abysmal.

America is a wonderful place and I love the shit out of it. But we are not the best place for health care unless you can pay for the best. Otherwise it is adequate. Even if it bankrupts you.

That is completely untrue and if you really looked things up, you would know why those numbers are false.

Good to hear!

I agree with power messing with people.

But with charity I feel it only goes so far, due to out of sight out of mind. There would have to be some sort of incentive to rely on it.

Nope your thinking of the fatality rates, infant mortality is not the same.

Infant mortality among African Americans in 2000 occurred at a rate of 14.1 deaths per 1,000 live births.2 This is more than twice the national average of 6.9 deaths per 1,000 live births. The leading causes of infant death include congenital abnormalities, pre-term/low birth weight, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), problems related to complications of pregnancy, and respiratory distress syndrome.3 SIDS deaths among American Indian and Alaska Natives is 2.3 times the rate for non-Hispanic white mothers.4

I don't do other ppl's homework. The infant mortality numbers are skewed. The USA has the best health care in the world....hands down.

I know exactly what I'm talking about (as usual)... infant mortality rates. We are about the same as Europe or better. Skewed numbers... no more clues.

again free speech is great. that doesn't extend to slander, which calling someone an idiot or moron is. it doesn't help advance anything except bad blood on both sides.

the diversionary tactics of FOX, such as birth certificates and whether or not HIS PARENTS were citizens (not necesary to be prez) only confuse issues and keep people tuned out. THAT is the desire of those in power.

How arrogant. How 'effin arrogant!

Today was my first day back to work all summer and I was dreading it because of this one guy in our department. He's a pretentious know-it-all who disregards EVERYONE's ideas other than his own. He knowingly acts in such a manner even though people have told him time and time again to listen more and talk less. So at the end of the day, I was a bit discouraged.

Due to the ridiculous tangent the politics thread has followed, I've taken solace in getting time away and revving up for the upcoming year. But today I decided to log on and see what was happening. The first thread I open, I see Cracker's belligerent self-described omniscience dominating the forum AGAIN! Then I realized, I would rather be stuck in a room with the aloof know-it-all in the department over having to argue with Cracker on the internet. How sad.........

To Hannibal, keep on fightin' the good fight. Arguing with Cracker is like beating your head on a wall - eventually, you'll get tired of the name-calling and internet bullying and give up.
