hey guys thought i would post a update of my babies seems like they grow bigger and bigger every time i got to sleep lol tell me what you guys think they are 9 days old

Looking very awesome man. You know, one thing that would help your plants stability a LOT is if you add more soil to your cups. Cover up another .5 to 1 inch of the stem and over time it will become part of the root system. This will also make your plants not nearly as top heavy. Once buds start forming those ladies may start laying over or requiring a prop, but covering the stems may prevent that. Other than that they look excellent! Nice n healthy! Give em about a week or so and you should know how many ladies you got. just found out I have at least 5 so far so Im in a pretty good mood If I get pics taken tonight I may post. Hey guys, I went ahead and took pics of my Diesel Ryder SOG I have going in a mini fridge right now. They're under a single 150w HPS bulb. here they are at 14 days old, the count so far is 2 male, 5 female, 1 female/hermie (dont know yet), and 7 that are too young to tell just yet.

Here is the one I think is a hermaphrodite. I dont have any experience with them, but it looks like balls & hairs to me. What do you guys think?

Anyways, things are going great, I will have a week by week picture slide show by the end that should look pretty cool. Its so amazing how much these things can grow in just one week!

Thanks KB im diff gonna put more soil then they have gotten alot more stable since the last time i posted pics i was going to water them later on this afternoon should i still if i add the soil? im think yea but im not to sure

kb they look like they are coming along nicely how old are they? and the last one looks like it has more balls i see maybe 2 hairs only really looking like a male maybe give it some more time to see if its a hermi

Actually, now that I've gotten a few grows under my belt I'm pretty damn good at it. I know what to look for, what to do, what NOT to do (most important), and what to expect and when to expect it. It's not hard but, sad to say, most of your best lessons will come at the cost of dead plants. That just seems to be the way it goes. Hang in there and keep trying.

exactly what mr pimp said gotta stick in there its a learning experience this is my first grow too and ive learned so much!!! ive done tons of reading and a good place to start would be on this forum also you could pick up a couple of books nothing wrong with that if unless you feel uncomfortable going to barnes and nobel high and buying weed books like me hahaha

i have 2 ak-48 autos growing in a aerodome. one is 1.5 months old and has been flowering for a week or so. the other i just put in the aerogarden two weeks ago and is already a good 5 inchs tall. u have ether done something wrong or infact DID end up buying regular seed. i also have 5 auto ak-47 in another aerogarden i planted last week. will keep u posted

I had a bag seed strain growing i let it veg for 8 weeks, flower for 7 but the clone i took off it didnt do to well and took awhile to come around it is now 8 inches tall and still in my veg chamber under 18/6 but showing pistols ? also the clone is now 9 weeks old and topped by itself (some new growth died off shortly after i took the clone) and then again by me....... Is this just stress or signs of autoflowering gene ?

lol nice yea i do not recommend drive around stoned the barnes and noble by my house is less than 2 blocks away and i had my girlfriend (sober) drive me around haha thats the best no real worries when you have a taxi like that

Sounds to me like it is just preflowering. Some strains will do that if left in veg long enough. Honestly more than 30 days in veg is overkill unless you're transplanting outside or have a LOT of watts running indoors. True AF strains will have pistils 2-3 weeks from seed.

If the nodes start exploding with pistils under 18/6 as opposed to just having a couple per node, then there might be something other than preflowering going on. Got any pics?

Well, if you are doing a "seed run", meaning you dont care how much (or little) bud you get out of it, pollinate as soon as you see white hairs. Then keep the male around a bit longer and pollinate again like a week later. Thats what I did and I got a shitload of seeds.

If you want to have some decent bud to smoke, and still get a couple dozen seeds or so, just wait till the male plats pollen sacs are starting to burst open and shake him over a paper bag or something. Collect the pollen and with a paint brush, old toothbrush or q-tip dab some pollen on just a few bud sites. For this approach I would wait till about 1 to 2 weeks flowering and only do it once. Its pretty hard to get pollen anywhere near a flowering female and NOT get seeds, so Im sure it will work out fine.

thanks for the info one more question when do these DR's flower? i know they show sex in about 2-3 weeks but for flowering i have no clue

Well, technically when they show sex is day 1 of flowering as far as I know. If you mean like when will buds start forming noticeably, then I would say 4-5 weeks. At 5 weeks there should be enough at each node for you to pinch with your finger and smell the stankyness

If you're asking so you know when to start flowering nutes, I would say as soon as they show sex. Mine just have and they will be transplanted into some soil containing bone meal for phosphorus, and I will be giving them 10-15-10 Schultz until I get an actual blooming nute.

Hey man, your little girls are looking wonderful!! I find 20/4 to be an awesome light regiment for the Diesel Ryders Im currently growing. Im sure it will also be great for yours, I have always wanted to grow a blueberry strain thats for sure!

Was just gonna mention one thing, if you use the MH you will also have to have some red/orange spectrum bulbs as well for flowering. Floweirng under the MH alone will give you much more branches & leaves, and much less bud. I would suggest an HPS of equivalent wattage, but if you cant get that just use some high wattage CFLs that are about 2700K or labeled as "Warm White" bulbs.

As far as the nutes, just wait a bit before starting them, and yeah always be worried about overdoing it. A plant grown with no nutes at all will yield more than one you kill with nutes, lol! Use like 1/8 or 1/4 the recommended amount to start, them work your way up.
