right on man, cant wait to see the video. bongsmilie

With the hole in your walll it does not matter the size you can always make it bigger with reducers/enlargers, to fit your fans or ducing.

I am not really to sure on all this cfm just went and got a bigger fan but that was heat problems.

keep it up man you will figure it out

Ok, so lets just get down to business. Here is my new, government subsidized-style veg chamber. Notice its sucked in still.

Daytime Temps - 72-79f RH 42-50%
Night Temps - 68-70f RH 50-60%

Now, remember my flower room 7 days ago?

Nice, but as you see, things are moving right along! :blsmoke:

Again, 7 days ago....

And today, from about the same angle...(okay not exactly, but its hard to get back in there now, damnit!

Feedback appreciated as always! :joint:

Go through the slide show, I posted a couple that are not King sized for ya'll :peace:

WOW!!!

I would be doubling or even tripling the intake holes...

There is no reason for it to have so much pressure...

You are just stressing your tent and fan...

Let her breathe in..

Now do you see why I wish I would have bought a 4" fan?

You know, I really am a smart guy....I promise....

Sometimes though....I make MYSELF wonder....

I will add more tomorrow. They are sleeping....sssshhhh

Thanks for your help. :peace:

I agree. I have a 424 cfm inline fan in both my intake and exhaust ports. Seems to do the trick!

Intake fans are only necessary in about 1% of the ops...

Yours may be one... but if not, you are just reducing your grams per watt ration by burning un-needed electricity...

If you suck the air out (exhaust) and you make a hole big enough for more air to come in... you will have the same cfm with half the electricity burned...

Active intakes work well when your source of fresh air is a window or AC duct 20 feet away...

99% of ops do not need an intake blower...;-)

Just a thought...

Added another 8" of intake without results.

I have concluded 340 CFM is simply too much pull for 54 cubic feet, unless I want to open a massive hole.

Which seems pointless. I would rather have a fan that is the correct size for my room :peace:

You can get a speed controller for $20...

A big fan at 50% power will be quieter and use less juice than a smaller fan at full power...

Just a thought...

It just so happens I have one, a SpeedSter.

Think I should adjust it down till it is just SLIGHTLY sucking in the tent sides and see if it will keep my temp/rh under control?

Sounds good...

But I have a sneaky suspicion that the less air you move.. the hotter it will get...

Try it... it's the only way to know...;-)

I could run ducting from one side of the reflector to the 6" exhaust fan.

Exhaust the room through the light....Whatcha think?

I am doing that in my room right now...

But I would not recommend in a small space...

It'll work, but you will be sacrificing temperature control... and that is key to holding a good grow in a small space...

Interesting take. I am not extremely knowledgeable when it comes to intake/exhaust so if you can take a minute and look at the way mine is set up and give me some notes I would appreciate it.

Well keep in mind I am not air cooling these lights at all currently...

It seems to me if I started, based on what I described, it should bring the temp DOWN, not up...am I mistaken?

I am sooo fucking confused...

don;t you have a cooltube?
Ok....

Flower room = cooltube (1k mh currently)

Veg room = sun system harvest pro classic (with glass) 400 watts, NOT being actively cooled. My flower room is fine, I got all that.

All we have been talkin about is in regards to the VEG room only!

With me?
