I know Roseman posted an "EC conversion chart" a week or so ago. It converted EC to two different "somethings" that were related to the kind of meter I think. All I know is my meter is a TDS-3 and you calibrate it with NaCI (whatever that is)You need to find out at which conversion your Meter is using. You should be able to go on the manufactures web site and find out. Then you need to find out which conversion your nutrient company is using, if they don't show you EC. This is why everyone should start to know EC, it is the universal language, like the metric system!
Can't find the post but this should help. http://www.fifthseasongardening.com/tips/nutrient_charts.pdfI know Roseman posted an "EC conversion chart" a week or so ago. I know my meter is not a Milwaukee, and I don't think it's a Hanna. It's made by HM Digital. I was hoping the H might be for Hanna, but went to their site, and it's not Hanna's site. Can't find the post but this should help. http://www.fifthseasongardening.com/tips/nutrient_charts.pdf
So, my EC is either 1.41 or 1.97 - unless HM Digital has a whole other conversion factor.I know my meter is not a Milwaukee, and I don't think it's a Hanna. It's made by HM Digital. I was hoping the H might be for Hanna, but went to their site, and it's not Hanna's site.
Unfortunatey, even the long description of my meter on their site doesn't mention if it's the same as either Milwaukee or Hanna.
Thanks for the chart TCan't find the post but this should help. http://www.fifthseasongardening.com/tips/nutrient_charts.pdf
Cool - thanks much man - appreciate it.Here you go hope this helps. http://www.tdsmeter.com/TDS_Meter_Calibration_Instructions.pdf should help you out on the HM meter unless its the same info you already have.
Cool - mine's the Hanna conversion. Thanks again. Here you go hope this helps. http://www.tdsmeter.com/TDS_Meter_Calibration_Instructions.pdf should help you out on the HM meter unless its the same info you already have.
Sweet! Glad I was able to help.Cool - mine's the Hanna conversion. Thanks again.

Your using the COM-100 right... it's Hm-digital. You can just use the ppm setting on the tds meter, little easier and no conversion necessary.. use the 442 setting under ppm. You hold down the Hold button I think to change the settings. So, my EC is either 1.41 or 1.97 - unless HM Digital has a whole other conversion factor.
No, I've got the TDS-3. Thanks though msn.Your using the COM-100 right... it's Hm-digital. You can just use the ppm setting on the tds meter, little easier and no conversion necessary.. use the 442 setting under ppm. You hold down the Hold button I think to change the settings.
So my EC is cool when I measure it in the one gallon that has the nutes for the whole tank. Then when I add that gallon and measure the tank 15 minutes later it reads way high. But it also says you can't take a reading in water with bubbles. I got 4 stones in there and you can't see the water from the bubbles. I may turn off the air pump for a minute and measure then. It should be the about the same as the one gallon measurement.
E.C. was here is one of my top 5 all favorite albums. He was really medicated when he made that album. No, I've got the TDS-3. Thanks though msn.
(I was listening to "E.C. Was Here" by Clapton, and had to think for a minute when I first started reading your post about EC. LOL
Yes he was. Hey Rose - have you ever seen the move "The Rolling Stones Rock & Roll Circus"? It's got Eric, The Stones, The Who, Jethro Tull, John Lennon, Taj Mahal, and some others. It's really cool. Anyway - you can just look at Eric's eyes on that video, and he's in some other world - he is SUPER medicated. It was filmed in 1968 so that's when he was doing smack.E.C. was here is one of my top 5 all favorite albums. He was really medicated when he made that album.
