You are being totally unfair dude. Obviously this guy is trying to see if he can use what he has at hand. When I first started I bet I didn't know as much as he does. It's a constant learning experience and we should all be here to help one another, not be dicks to one another. I've been at this shit for a little while but I didn't come out of the nutsack with the knowledge and experience I have now. It has taken years of trial and error, reading and help from people that are on this site. It does no one any good to be hostile or act like a know it all. I have heard of people doing wonders with little or nothing (we know those stories are few and far between but they are out there). I hope he finds the answers he's looking for without the condescending tone and all the hate. Peace and love to all!

yes, an hps needs a ballast. i suggest a little research on your part, lemme see if i cant find ya some links. dont let that other person get to ya, they must be having a horrible day. forgive and forget

Read the other posts. We already figured out it was incandescent, and are moving on to better lighting choices. he has been more specific, you just have to read it! =)

It would take less than a half hour of reading the growfaq to know 100% that you absolutely cannot use that light and that miracle grow is absolute crap for weed.

If you can't take that baby step yourself, you aren't cut out for this game. I'm not a know-it-all, and i'm perfectly willing to help people out that really need help. I'm not willing to help anyone that's not willing to try to help themselves.

There's such a wealth of easy to obtain information here and no need to ask questons like this. This is the same kind of person that comes on and asks if he can do sea of green with a case of cut in half beer cans, a bag of cheap dirt from wal mart, and a couple 1000w halogen lights.

To answer the OP's question, your minimum yield is the same with your max yeild on that setup, which is nothing. You're going to have a couple of dead ass plants and possibly burn your house down.

i guess you could look at it that way, but if the other guy didnt wanna answer he coulda just said look in the grow faq, that other guy didnt have to go off.

damn, i dont know why i didnt think of that! but anyway yeah, we're past that part, we talked him into some nice cfls i believe and told him more on how his setup should be. if he was still wanting to use that halogen he should talk to his bro cuz its possible to get a tiny to small harvest w/halogen believe it or not. i saw a grow journal on here of a guy who just wouldnt listen and to everyones amazement it didnt look that bad, not any worse than a newbie w/cfls(maybe a fluke?). i was looking for it for like 3 hrs last night but ive given up looking, but original poster-dont use halogen if you want any kind of decent yield unless you can replicate your bro's setup. he either lucked out and managed to get it just right the first time or found how to do it through trial and error and lots of reading and experiments

your electric bill will cost more than what your yeild is worth, and it will be schwag.

are you growing this in your parents house or something. It sounds like your using a normal desk lamp with a 100 watt bulb. Do you have money for a real light or setup. If you do how much do you have to spend. Where are you able to grow the plant what size space. Where did you get the seed. Is it bag seed. How tall can the plant grow. You cant ask these questions of how much will you get without people being truthful with a sense of sarcasm. with the light i think you have, you will not make it into flowering. Also if you are growing it in your parents house, stop...

I say if you cant afford the lights, grow outdoors... it's free and your sure as hell gonna get a lot more better smoke than using a halogen.

i know u may not wanna hear this but if its ur first grow i wouldnt worry about yeild, ide concentrate on learning to read wot a plant is trying to tell u, learn how to keep a plant strong and healthy, then my friend when uve cracked that part the yeild will follow, big juicy dank nuggz, seriously, i learnt that the hard way. good luck anyhow
