Is there a reason for the blocks under the pots at all? Drainage, airflow or maybe just to keep them off the ground away from bugs??
They were there and the gardner wanted to put them ontop of the bricks. There is no reason to elevate them for dranage since they have holes. I was thinking I would put them on the ground in case the roots grow to the bottom they can go into the ground.

Most of the plants are now as tall or taller than I am (5'11"). All of the JS are in flower and one has been in flower for almost 4 weeks. I started the Bloom Maxsea on 2 of the JS since they are in bloom for 3 and 4 weeks. Next week all 3 will be getting bloom nutes.

My most recent batch of nutes (both bloom and grow) were at around 1800 ppm (same as last time) and 6.5 pH. No stress noted on any plants and I dont intend to go to any higher ppm. I had to water a few days sooner than usual since its been a little on the warm side for this area.

THe plants just keep getting wider and taller. THe WC strain seems to be overtaking the JS since the JS is busy flowering. I'm wondering how Im going to support the branches if they get big and fat (dreaming). The CC still has the thickest stalk and is one of the biggest.

All plants have excellent branching with the 2 WC D pheno bushes leading the way. I wish they were 6-8 feet instead of 3 feet. Oh well still have 6 weeks or so to go in veg.

The JTR is still growing like a bush but I think this week it has had a spurt of vertical growth.

The week 4 of flower for the one JS has closed open spaces giving the colas a full look. Starting to get a little frosty on the leaves too.

This weeks parade. These were shot in the AM instead of the usual PM. Enjoy !

Row 1: JTR, JS 1 9Week 4 in flower), Full shot JS1, WC D pheno bush, CC
Row2: WC D pheno bush, WC red/pink pistal, JS 2, WC white pistals, JS 3
Row 3: HJ, Group shot, JS 1 bud porn, JS 1 bud porn, JS 1 bud porn

Party at GT's house, lol. Looking real nice there. I'm about ready to start blooming my girls up here, just letting them burn off the stored nitrogen then it's 3-20-20 time. :hump:

Come on down partner. Your always welcome. Got 2 chairs for you and momma.

I gave some nutes today and I think I should of stayed because I could swear they grew 6 inches today. The weather has been hot for down here. Since the plants have grown to be about 5 feet (not counting pots) they are drinking more or the soil is drying out faster or both. We still have Aug and Sept which typically are hot months.

The JS1 (first in flower. now week 4) is starting to pack on some weight from the top down. I expect the colas to put on significant weight in the next month. JS 2 is starting to form a solid cola at the top. I gave all JS plants bloom fert today about 3/4 of a gal each. Hope they like it.

The WC continue to branch and grow tall. I think the CC is the biggest plant now with todays growth spurt. The 2 WC D pheno clones are really just bushes. The branches are really just a mass of branching with no single top growth. They are really like a ball bush but I havent topped or anything. They look like a mini FDD or Hodge plant is the best way to describe them.

The HJ was moved from the patio onto the lawn for more light. One thing I have to say about the HJ is it is a caterpillar magnet. These are caterpillars like I have never seen before. They only eat a little bit of the leaf (only a few small holes) before they roll up in the top leaves like a cacoon (I will try to get a pic tomorrow if I can find any). They are tiny brownish grey caterpillars which I have only seen on the HJ plant. I killed 3 and one moved so fast I dont know where it went.

Well that was all I needed to spray all of the plants in the area with Green Light Lawn and Garden with Spinosad. This should take care of those little bastards for now. I better get some more bottles for the sprayer for later.

I was a little supprised there wasnt more damage from the caterpillars. Maybe I caught them before they could eat much. Not sure why they like the HJ only but it is the only plant with an unmistakable smell.

I tried to do some close ups of the JS buds but I think I will need one of those USB microscopes to see trichs. Does anyone know of a decent one to take some pics?

little bastards love the hijack. it's not so much the damage they do but the moisture from rain and fog that really causes problems. it gets in to where the caterpillars were and starts to rot. keeping everything dry is the safest bet.

it all looks really good. mine are just starting to "change" a little.

nice journal. I can also vouch about the catterpillars going after the hijack. I have a few plants and they seem to go after only the hijack

*Note to stay away from the HiJack.* I'm gonna start some weekly Bt spraying this week. Starting to see those rolling up in the tops too. Mashing the ones I find but don't want them getting out of hand. That rain we finally got has seemed to give all the bugs a shot of adrenaline.
