Hey fennimore, I was rolling thru your thread and I really agree you need to up your nutes. That yellowing is very premature. I dont neccesarily think your plant is going to die* or all your leaves are going to fall off but I think your plant can take (and needs) much more than your feeding it. It does look good the hairs are reaching real well towards the light and the resin production sets in well but I say up the nutes and probubly in a hurry if you want to stop from stressing this baby out.. How much are you feeding?

At 3 - 4 weeks my under the canopy leaves (not the whole plant) dont have any spotting or rust discoloration, they are just yellow (if i wait long enough they turn brown) You can tell the plant just rejects / stop using it, it gets bright yellow, sags and eventually falls off by its own after shriveling up. These will always be the ones on the bottom and the ones receiving no light. This would be normal for a plant this age. This is not the problem you are experiencing. Yours, are on leaves that are receiving light And, frankley your nowhere near the end of harvest, Ive never seen a plant that was that yellow and "normal".. You have 35 more days minimum, (if your on day twenty one usually 60 - 63 days for most ive seen)....

Again, I hope you read this in full, Im not nearly ripping on you or anyone else but I do think (to a slight degree) that since you put respond and + rep in your thread title your getting people to not hardly look at the details of your grow and just say nice... You know? People that take the time to help deserve + rep bro.

But hey its been said people have different opinions.

What you said is true... I have never really thought of it that way...

About the nutes, you are right. I haven't fed any nutes to her, at all... I know I should probably have done that, but I was curious if I could grow a plant completely nuteless. So far, I'm very happy with my plant. I have decided to just let it finish on it's own, regardless of the dying leaves. Next time though, I will use nutes and ferts.

I believe I might have messed up on counting the flowering days... I started counting the days as soon as I saw the first sign of pistils, which was 21 days ago. However, I've been reading that when counting the flowering days, you start counting when you start the 12/12 cycle... And in that case, the 12/12 cycle was started on June 14th, which would mean that my plant is on day 29 of flowering, not day 21 of flowering.

What is the truth about that?

the truth ..... is whatever suits the circumstances at hand. sorry too much philosophy. we chatted about this earlier today ..... and it became a debate about all the factors that are involved, and claims of other metrics of plant performance. the flowering times given are best estimates to when you might see similar results. The reality is, it takes whatever time it needs. and the only way to judge that is not from a calender but by what you see in front of you. There are no two circumstances that are alike, and therefore any comparison or setting of expectations based on some other setup and reality is a .... little meaningless. Learn to watch your plants and judge them for what they are doing in front of you right now. and you will start to establish your own baseline, your own performance bar from which to measure to.

Thats right.... I always forget you are trying how it does w/ just plain water.. sorry about that. I just hope your soil will hold in some nutes until the end and you dont run into any deficiency problems and wish you the best. I would say to look at trichs rather than count days as well if possible. I usually count from the first day of 12/12... that is quite a debate though like tahoe said.

Well, it has been decided to count the days from the start of 12/12... Which means that my plant is 30 days into flowering today!

I am waiting on my 32x jewlers microscope to come in the mail... As soon as it does, I'll be able to see the trichs way better than I can now. I am def. going to harvest by looking at the plant and not counting days. I'm assuming harvest needs to happen when 3/4 of the pistils are orange, and the trichs turn milky white. Correct?

yes the trichs should be amber when you harvest.hairs die and regrow throughout the whole flowering stage so ya its kinda hard to tell by hairs.you have a while to go yet.have you fed them yet ?if not you should start.they look really good keep it up. :)

I'm not going to feed it because I am growing all natural... I didn't know the hairs die and regrow... Interesting!!!
